Jack Roles scored for Gateshead, Taryn Allarakhia and Jack Cook both scored in the Rochdale Wealdstone game, Macaulay Bonne got Southend’s winner and Toby Edser sent off for Ebbsfleet in their loss.

Loads of goals for ex-cards in NLS today
Carter (Dorking)
Pavey & Spasov (Farnboro v Slough)
Moore (Welling)
Longe-King (St Albans)

Top of the NLS is ridiculous with 4 points separating 1st (Worthing) from 6th (Torquay), and Worthing have the worst goal difference of all of them.

We beat them 7-0 in the FA Cup once.

Luke is from Wells and his family are all there so makes sense to close out his career. Our game there was very memorable - scorching hot day, friendly club, easy win and great cider!

So has Michael Hector (admittedly not an ex player of ours) who’s only just signed for D&R. Bit weird.

Weird player. Saw him play for Basingstoke v Chertsey a few months ago, missed a penalty and was generally anonymous. Is Cooper getting desperate?

Donning my pedant’s hat for a minute, there isn’t a “step 10” other than for purely nominal purposes. There is a “level 10” which is where Wells City play, (Level 1 being the Premiership).

“Steps” begin at the highest tier of Non League, so Woking play at Step 1. Wells City and the Western League 1st division are step 6, below which are the step 7 feeder leagues to the pyramid proper and below that are the County Leagues which have different structures, rules and no measurable or comparable playing standard of competition.

Using “levels” and “steps” interchangeably merely causes confusion.

It always annoys me when people use say "Step 2" meaning Level 6.

There's no need for it, apart from trying to make the league sound higher up than it is. Same with calling the the league at level 3, "League One".

The term 'non league' is even a bit outdated these days with the majority of clubs in the Conference being full time.

Don't know if it's been mentioned on here, but Shwan Jalal is first team goalkeeping coach at Newcastle United.

Not an ex player but our former physio Stuart Douglas was on Celebrity Bake Off last night. He’s now a property developer with his sister Scarlett.

Thommo had worked with him at Dorchester.
Looking forward to see everyone again at Kingfield, soon.
Some interesting conversations will be had.
