Maybe I should know this but have they worked out where the team are going to play home matches while the stadium is being built? Surely that should be the number 1 priority?

Unless it's very close to the current stadium it's unlikely we'll get to many games. As things stand we're only making it for the last half hour of many home games on a Saturday.

Farnborough seems to be the latest thinking.

No decisions have been made yet. We have a number of options all of which have pros and cons.

Where would you like us to play then? Westfield? Sheerwater?

I don't know what's wrong with sharing with Lewes.

For selfish reasons yes but I appreciate that the decision won't be based on my schedule.

Dorking is also plastic

Which would be just awful if you've ever watched a game at Maidstone

What's the issue with Farnborough ?

Its the nearest , quickest to get to, ground is ok ( they have a good stand and terraces) and they would be happy to have us (they are skint).

Reducing the time out is key;
Can we start building the dam stadium before the residentials have been sold ? ( now the council are guaranteeing cash)
Can we even open with 2 or 3 sides available and a reduced capacity ?

Also could we use Westfield for surrey senior matches , friendlies or even FA trophy matches - just putting it out there ……

It's not a serious suggestion. It's there because it's a good day's drinking.

And no one has mentioned just wheeling in 2000 seats for us to share at Westfield.

That was discussed before wasn’t it? I thought that was simply not practical due to the site of the Westfield ground.

Yeah I was joking. I couldn’t believe some people thought it was even slightly feasible.

The realistic option is Farnborough and to be fair it ticks a lot of boxes too. We might just pick up some new fans along the way from that area. Surprising though how many Farnborough fans I’ve met that have told me they also used to watch Aldershot. Definetly appears to be more of an alliance there and less of a rivalry.

I think our crowds would hold up surprisingly well over at Farnborough if we stay competitive in the national league.

What would happen though if we did go up this season to the football league??? Dare to dream! 😉

At the Cards Trust meeting last week it was I think suggested that Woking FC was in discussions with a particular club and that that club was aware that it would need to make its ground suitable for League Two football. Personally I really hope it isn’t Farnborough as it is really too far for home games for me -I am not sure my views carry too much weight, though.

Do they have/are planning a Seafare? That's make or break for me.
