Didn't like that bit when he said they were struggling to get out 16 players!
'We've got a couple of people off for different reasons,'! Am assuming we're not talking injuries in this case?

Looking at the squad list on the website, if we have a couple of injuries (or other reasons as mentioned by Dowse) its not a surprise we may struggle to get 16.

Not including Felix, Morrison and Skinner who are all out on loan, and on the assumption that Donnellan is still injured that leaves 18, which includes Edsar (no news on whether his loan has been extended), Gray (who has yet to be involved) and Kretzchmar (who is coming back from injury)

Not a lot of room for injuries in the squad

Judging by his comments and the time of Edser's loan he must have gone back to Forest?

I wonder if Reid was the centre forward Dowse thought would make a difference a few weeks back?

According to this article, its good news on the Edser front:

That's good news if true. Wonder what Dowse meant because Meite is on loan for a few more weeks? Could be mind games I guess

There's nothing in that fans article that says the loan is extended, sadly...

apart from the fact that it was written this week and states the following

Toby Edser re-joined Woking on a short-term loan until January 1, 2020

I realise that contradicts the official statement from the club, but it all seems to suggest that Toby is with us for at least 4 more weeks, if not longer

I have a bad feeling two of our players have had their heads turned and signed for other clubs...

If two have gone then surely they would be non-contract ones?

Its a bit early to start balancing the books like we did in Jan 2018

Not sure you can come out with a statement like that without justification.

I read that as concerned speculation rather than a claim to know anything. Dowse has always been very open about comings and goings so I imagine he'd have said so in his catch up if anyone had left.

I read as though they were in the know. Bit specific mentioning that 2 players had 'had their heads turned'.

I agree Dowse is normally forthcoming though the comment as quoted by Cornwall Card at the top of this thread is very ambiguous

Since when is 'I have a bad feeling' a statement? It's merely an observation going on his various grunts and body language.

Most of our player are on non-contracts as I understood it? With the exception of Casey and a couple of other.

Someone might know the league rules better than I, but I'm pretty sure Football and National League clubs can only sign players on loan until 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in November'.
Can't imagine Dowse letting key players go out on loan, unless the eventual offer of a full transfer is one Woking can't refuse.

I'm sure there's a good reason. As has been said - 22 player squad, 3 out on loan, 1 injured, 2 potentially still unfit - that only leaves 16 for a variety of reasons. So it only needs something to happen to one player and you're struggling.

To me “off for different reasons” implied not just for injuries/fitness reasons

So that could mean suspension, or Unavailability due to other work commitments - especially if they’re non-contract players

I have no idea which players are on contracts, and which players are non-contract

so its a hunch then!!! Not sure the body language from the players this season has been that bad. We are top of the league, and if the players that aren't in the team/starting XI, its up to them to prove to Dowse that they should be. Hyde wasn't happy, by all accounts went to Dowse and told him, and since coming on at Fylde has proved he should be starting.

If we were struggling and the same team was being picked week in, week out, I would understand those not in the team being frustrated, but that's not the case

“I have a hunch some players might have left”

“So you’re saying you DEFINITELY KNOW some players have signed for other clubs and you think we’re shit and are going to get relegated? A bit negative aren’t you?”
