Tough challenge to make a kit that looked as good as Kappa.

Loved Wealdstones away kit. Hopefully ours is similar!

Please don't mess with swishy diagonal halves. Keep it traditional... Keep it the right shade of red...

Black collar and a knitted badge please! I don't expect either looking at Wealdstone's away kit, but it does still look very smart.

It’s a bit of a shock isn’t it? What with this announcement about the shirt being available and the current weather I am beginning to think IT IS October! In all seriousness well done WFC things definitely on the up off the pitch as well as on it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

That’s great news, we can sing the song again like we did at Bury, “Yellows, Yellows, Yellows” can’t wait to get my first away shirt in years...

Macron do produce a nice halved shirt, coincidentally a nice shade of Cardinal too.

This style but with white on the 'correct side' like the most reason Kappa kit, that would be lovely!

No no no no no NO!!! I’m not having this.

What the @@@@ is going on? It’s currently June, not October so we can’t have a new kit yet. And this online malarkey.... I mean wtf?
We are getting a little too organised here. I don’t like it. What will we have to ridicule and get all huffy about?

Adult shirts are £40. Not sure on kids prices but I’d imagine they’re slightly cheaper.

I’m currently building up a graphic archive cataloguing Woking shirts from 1887 to present day (yeah I know, get a life). There actually isn’t a “correct side”, it’s chopped and changed over the years. Although there has been a reasonable preference to see a harlequin halved shirt with the Cardinal half on the right hand side of the shirt as you look at the front.

Thanks Doylie! I put correct in inverted commas as it was a bit tongue-in-cheek really - I grew up in the 80s/90s watching Woking, and apart from the crazy pink shirt and one or two other red ones, most of the kits I associate with the glory years in my generation have the kit as you describe with the red on the right while looking at it.

Happy either way really - just the kit style from the early 90s brings back good memories (and helps to remove some of the bad ones - like a couple seasons back).

Please don't 'get a life' if it means stopping the excellent work you do and if it means stopping the shirt history archive you are making - that sounds incredible! I'm a football shirt fan, so would love to see that when it's complete! :-)

Cheers TWR, the shirts archive is on my Facebook page at the moment and I occasionally post them on my Cardinal Tales Twitter, but I was toying with the idea of starting a Cardinal Tales Facebook at some stage and put them on there, amongst old photos, memorabilia and stories from the Cardinal Tales and hopefully fans and saddo anoraks can share their memories too.

Here’s one of my favourite Woking teams of the past (circa 1905) showing a complete mishmash of halved shirts.
