Vokins was an odd one, never really nailed down a place in the team
Agree. Had his moments but it never really happened for him, did it.

Charlie Cooper signs an 18-month deal with Yeovil after leaving Oldham last month. Apparently he's been training with Yeovil since then, and manager Mark Cooper has been sufficiently impressed by what he's seen to sign him.
I guess he knows him quite well!
I have another 7 three year plans in me if I'm lucky.

And he’s very, very protective of his boy. Took me to task after a game because Gavin and I dared to criticise his boy’s performance during commentary. Said we were out of order and a disgrace. Has also been known to ring managers up to query why his boy’s not getting a game.

I hope the answer was “because aside for set pieces, he’s actually shit”.

Looks like Campbell was back on the bench for Rochdale on Saturday. Hope he can get some fitness and form back and show what he can do.

On paper Yeovil's squad looks far too full of quality again, to the point I'd be a bit shocked if they dropped... Oldham also sound like they'll break out the cheque book this window if needed. I'd have to think both will be safe come May which leaves an awful lot of ground to be made up for the current bottom four on Aldershot (rubbish but should just survive), Maidenhead (look in trouble, can't win away as demonstrated last night), and Dorking (too free-scoring to drop?)

I thought Scunthorpe looked quite good, except for the gaping hole in their defence, they will pick up points.

Torquay are masters of the great escape.

I can see two of Maidenhead, Dorking & Aldershot dropping. The PE teacher has just signed three school kids.

You'd need Aldershot to remain as godawful as they have been all year while a couple of sides below them noticably improve.

As much as I'd love to see them binned to the NLS, they only need a point a game to limp up to 49, which guarantees safety most of the time. Maidstone and Oldham are two of their next three, both of whom are currently terrible, and they've still got Scunny/Torquay/Gateshead at the Wreck to come.

Unless they properly shit the bed in the majority of those, I can't see it. We live in hope though!

I’ve not checked the stats, but based on the ramblings of a Chelsea/Aldershot 2CW I know, they’re a lot worse at home than they are away. More home games are bad for Aldershot.

Like at or not we need Aldershot to survive, worth probably £20,000 in away ticket sales alone each year

Yep NP, Aldershite are only matched by Scunny for their dreadful 8 losses at home, nobody else close. On paper they look like a more dire version of what we were last season; never draw, can't play from ahead, and shit at home... I dunno what it says about Molseley (currently might also get Gosport relegated from the Southern) though, that I actually think they pull off survival with the new manager, despite his delusions of grandeur.

I think Maidstone are gone and Scunny are going to struggle with that deficit and off-field turmoil, so I'd hazard a guess it'll be two from the current crop between 17th-22nd.

Scunthorpe are already quite a way off given they’ve played more than most of the teams above them.

They probably need an absolute minimum of 8 wins from their remaining 19 games to stand a chance. Scratch out Wrexham and Notts County away and that becomes 8 wins from 17.

It’s difficult to see how they’ll stay up.

Thing is as soon as they go, they’ll only be replaced by the likes of Ebbsfleet or Dirtford.

I think Maidstone will survive now they’ve binned their manager.
