Kane Thompson Somers proves he wasn't good enough to wear a Woking shirt, playing for Hereford and losing the ball that concedes an equaliser.
I have another 7 three year plans in me if I'm lucky.

Dave Tarpey score a last minute penalty, to give Leatherhead a win at home to Ashford Town.
Looking forward to see everyone again at Kingfield, soon.
Some interesting conversations will be had.

Selim Saied scores for Farnborough in their R1 win at Sutton.

It was 2 years ago today when he told me he loves the FA Cup.

I meant “played”.

Neither Fernandes or Amartey spoke to me on this day two years ago, or any other day.

Which of our wide options - RGC, Korboa, Daly, Lofthouse or Johnson - would you get rid of to make a space? Decent enough player but he wouldn't get close to the current squad

This always happens with academy graduates. Their ability and worth is massively inflated because of a bias that doesn’t equate to reality. Several posters on here were claiming we should give Hamblin a lengthy contract and he should be in ahead of Casey, after one cross!

SS always looked a talented player, but clearly someone who needed games. He was never going to get that with us - so he’s dropped a level and is now doing well. Whether he will ever get up to this league or above (see Reggie Young) is still in a mystery.

How many Academy players have we had near the squad not utilised and then gone onto better things?

I can only think of Ollie Palmer. He didn't get games because we had Gez, Gray, Hammond and Cowan-Hall at the time

The only others to have played at a a higher level than we were playing at the time would be Ross Worner (sold) Joe Mc and Gez Sole (left on a Bosman after several years service).

Anyone else?

Not sure if it counts but Chris Hussey was in our academy at one stage and has gone onto have a solid EFL career. Currently at Stockport.

The most recent example is Jayden Wareham (did get a handful of games ofc) who is playing on loan at Leyton Orient at the top of League 2.

Palmer also had that ridiculous Twitter spat with Adam Newton where he proclaimed himself to be the future and Newton the past, causing other first-team players like Jack King to jump in and tell him to stop being such a dick. Don't think that helped his chances of staying...

Didn’t Palmer have to drop a level (Havant?) to get game time to develop?

Yes, I think Garry Hill said at the time they'd paid us a bit of money. Of course, it was while he was at Havant that Chelsea began their relentless pursuit of him...
