Nathan Ralph linked with a move to Hull or Barnsley

Incredible how you can have one season in Scotland after getting relegated from the National League and suddenly be perceived as a potential Championship player. I liked him when we played for us, so good luck to the lad, but that seems insane.

Maybe he had a couple of good games against the "big boys" most players at NL level have the ability, it's all about having the dedication to step up.

Speaks volumes for the state of Scottish football.
Or...

Nathan Ralph has gone up there, applied himself, and become a better player as a result of playing at a higher level. Innih Effiong was a total flop at Ross County, and Gozie Ugwu flopped at then third-tier Dunfermline a couple of years before he came and did pretty well for us. It all depends on the player/situation.

Don’t get me wrong, Scottish football is poorer than it’s ever been. (Thanks to the ever-increasing financial gap between the ‘big’ leagues and the rest, but that’s another story...) Celtic would be bottom half Premier League in England. The best of the rest would be mid-table Championship at best. Dundee would be lower League 1/mid-table League 2.

But we should probably give Ralph a bit of credit here, for pushing on and bettering himself where the likes of Effiong, Goddard and Knott have failed. Good luck to him.

This will cause much upset on here - Chez has been kept on at Chelmsford. His fan club will be disappointed he won't be playing floaty balls at Kingfield next season. Talking of Chelmo, Frazer Shaw has signed for them too.

He gave away the last minute penalty at Welling.

Apparently the decision was utterly farcical as well (the penalty, not the signing!). Haven't been able to find a clip though.

That's good to hear - hopefully a near-guarantee of first team football. Best of luck to him.

Spent a little bit of time at Kingstonian - signed for them the season Dowse left the club for H&R - and has since played 125-odd games for Wingate & Finchley. Played for Antigua once too.

Dress it up as much as you wish.

It shows how shite Scottish Football is!

Good luck to him indeed.
He appears to now know his limitations.
Playing for the worst team, in a dreadful league.

Just under two years since we were told that Caprice wasn't worth a new contract because he hadn't met the required number of assists over the course of the previous season...

.. which was about ten minutes after Limbrick stated “attitude is more important than ability”

The signs were there early on!

To be fair to Limbrick (I know, I know...), Garry Hill hadn't been a massive Caprice fan either. He was regularly left out of the team, including one memorable occasion when Dennon Lewis was selected at right back instead.

I seem to remember Leyton Orient didn't think much of Caprice either. But ever since that game when we stuck 4 past Tranmere they'd wanted Caprice and now he's done the business for them. Good luck to the lad.

Perhaps slightly less recently saw ex-Card Oliver Bozanic come on for Hearts against Celtic in Scottish Cup Final as substitute, whilst watching on TV.

Jason Pearce just won the League 1 play offs with Charlton.
Seems a long long time ago - Who would he have been playing with back then?
