Postponed Games

Post by neverlostatwembley3 » Thu Jan 10, 2019 12:17 pm

Do we know when we will find out the dates our postponed games will be played?

Only when the Club announces them.

The National League used to have a 42 day limit from the date of the original match to be re-arranged but I don't know if there is the same limit in the National South.

As the SSC cup match has been arranged for the 29th January I would guess they will be after that and therefore in February. All the Tuesdays in February are free for Woking, Dartford, Hemel Hempstead and Truro City although Hemel & Truro are still in the Trophy. I also can't see Dowse wanting too many matches together so I would expect them to be spread out a bit.

I reckon the Dartford match could be on Tuesday 5th. According to their website they are free that night.

Hemel Hempstead could then be two weeks later on Tuesday 19th. Again they are free according to their website.

Truro City away would then be in March. Both clubs are free midweek so it could be any of the Tuesdays in March, 5th, 12th, 19th or 26th.

From a personal point of view I will have to arrange trips away with work in February so would like to try and arrange these around Woking's fixtures.

I would have thought that the club are possibly waiting to see how Hemel, Truro and Oxford do in the FA Trophy this weekend, and then go from there.

Truro and Oxford are now out. Hemel are through and are the last remaining Conf South team in the Trophy.

Good news on Oxford being out. At least that's another game we don't have to rearrange

Hope Truro is on 19th March - we now get a day off for our birthday at work which is the 20th March for me so I have the idea of taking the 19th off as well and getting the train down and staying over...

Had we beaten Maidstone and then Oxford, we would have had Salford away in the FAT. Kind off glad we are out now

Yep - much more important things to concentrate on this season. Even if we hadn't got to the Third Round of the FA Cup I would still rather we were out.

Trophy was perfect for us when we were in the league above, just a shame we never did anything in it barring our run to the QFs under Garry. A little unlucky to draw Grimsby away that year.

Why do people wish we were out of this cup, wish we were out of that cup so we can concentrate on the league, I don't go to games hoping my team lose, all games are for winning otherwise the game wouldn't be worth watching. Dowse has got it spot on, let's try and win every game and see where it takes us. lets not get like the Premier clubs and treat some competition with disdain.

I'd consigned that afternoon to the history books until I read that!

Weird. It’s still on Dartford’s twitter though.
