Woking 0 Welling 3

Post by Red and White Army » Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:27 pm

In head injuries faked.

What a monumental bellend their number 6 was. Numbers 2 and 3 not far behind.

Enjoyed the ref coming over to the linesman after the 3rd time.. “nothing in that, no? Nahh”

Cheers for the 3 points you cheating pricks.

They’re Welling. Never been any different as long as I can remember. They only difference is they usually beat us.

Not this bunch though, so proud of them!

Tbh if they want to waste their own time at 1-0 down that's up to them.

The 6 did headbut the back of Bradbury’s head so he probably was actually hurt.
And I think the 2 got the ball in his face, but not Armani’s boot, so he wasn’t totally faking it,

A shame that what started as a good game quickly deteriorated into a spoiling competition after Welling went behind. With Wings players suddenly crashing to the ground holding their faces and squealing like girls at the slightest contact, the referee was obviously going to be the centre of attention and I actually thought he did quite well to keep all 22 players on the pitch.

So, Welling managed to lose the game, look pathetic, cheat, and pick up a few yellows along the way. Let's hear it for their inspiration - the Team Miniature, Mr King. And let's be grateful we don't have to suffer that every week.

And well done to the Cards for not being suckered into anything silly. Time to regroup before St Albans.

He got up and smiled as soon as the yellow card was given. He was 100% faking it.

We were right next to both of those incidents, both totally faked, but it’s what you come to expect from Welling over the years, utterly embarrassing.

Nice to see someone actually shorter than Steve King involved in the proceedings.

Loved the snake charming music at half time.

The 2 probably smiled because of the abuse he was getting from us....
Definitely sounded like 6 headed the back of Bradbury’s head for one of them. The other one I have no idea what happened, but don’t see why he would stay down so long whilst they are losing once it was clear that the ref wasn’t interested. Casey never does ;-)

Apart from the goals and the win, my magic moment of the night was Bradbury hauling their player to his feet in the first half just as the physio was coming on. Physio left standing there with no one to treat whilst handbags ensued. Brilliant!

Well done Harvey!

I found it particularly amusing when the ref was having a word with Hodges, who was towering over him!

As Stoo has said, this is Welling. They've always been like that. I think a pre-requisite for signing for Welling is you've got to be a complete fanny.

I thought their players were just bouncing off Bradbury and looking to get him sent off with their reactions

Well played the ref really !

Yes he did, contact to the back of his head which was not deliberate. But it didn't really explain why he was clutching various parts of his brow, jaw and checkbones whilst rolling around the ground screaming like a fairy.

Re the music, again great to hear “moonlight, music and you - Laura Greene” and the original Tainted Love - Gloria Jones.... more Northern Soul for me!

Back on track, I really couldn’t understand why Welling were using those tactics to play act and waste time when they had us pinned into our half for a lot of the time in the second half. The play acting was hilarious and goes to show that teams see Woking as the title contenders and will no doubt try to stop us playing... the starting three up top running at defence must scare the shot out of them! I understand that Jake was not a happy bunny after the game, but for me that shows passion that they all want to play!!

Maybe King told them at half time to try and get Harvey sent off. It did all seem a bit co-ordinated and involved him a lot.

Was pathetic to watch

Definitely strategised. Armani was booked in the first half for that “high boot” on their no2, and the first bit of action in the second half involved their no3 going down as if shot by a sniper when Armani was about 1m from him.
