Gerring not playing will be a big loss against a very physical Welling side.

Taylor or Collier at CB? Or are we going all out and playing 3 at the back?

Looks a good team, COYC!

Collier at CB, Taylor at RB.

Comfortably the better team in the first 15, not much apart from a very close Bradbury miss but our pressing has been fantastic.

Not entirely sure how we've won that. The sort of grafting performance that champions put in, but how they didn't equalise at 1-0 is beyond me. Gerring was a huge miss both organisationally and in the air.

That said, we ran ourselves into the ground for it. Edser missed a golden chance but him and Little were everywhere, Bradbury was all energy and fight, and once Luer got the second goal the game was dead.

Was Gayle injured? If not, why did we play a fullback at center back and a center mid at fullback?

Taylor is a jack of all trades. I believe Barnet primarily used him a s right back

If you don't shoot, you don't score... How many times did we want to walk the ball into the net? But pleased with that, a good win after a big weekend.

I have never seen a team try so hard to get someone sent off as Welling - fucking embarrassing - is that all you've got?? their back line all had a go, 1 by 1 , it was clearly a plan - got what they deserved

Number 3 and Number 6 were a fucking disgrace. How their number 4 I think didn't pick 2 yellows up in the 1st half I'll never know. But with the ref being a short short man, I guess he never saw it. He'd be better reffing a table football match.

Best part of the game was scrappy doo (ref) trying to break the players up after a kerfuffle, that did make me chuckle.

Hard game to watch at times but thought we dug in. Jolley or Cook for MOTM how the sponsors gave it to Casey I'll never know

You need an opening to shoot otherwise it's wasted, I spent most of the 2nd half listening to people yelling shoot as soon as any of our players got within 10 yards of the penalty box*, that's when they weren't yelling 'get it on the deck', usually whilst the ball was still in the air from a goal kick ffs.

*Except when Luer was lining up to hit our 2nd when strangely they didn't yell shoot.

People should learn Edser LITERALLY has no right foot before yelling shoot.

People also don’t seem to realise how difficult it is to dig out a shot from 20/25 yards when under pressure and off balance.

What a relief. After sundays efforts I was worried. Although a little flat we ground out a huge win.

Pretty decent crowd for a midweek game with a minibus of away fans.
Jolley had an absolute mare with the ball - how many times did he give it away?
Loza didn’t look totally up for it (or was knackered).
The first half was pretty entertaining, the second half was dull and scary as our defence went all Garry Hill at corners.
Harvey Bradbury is an angry, aggressive, young man. Buts he’s ours so that is just great.

Enjoyed that. We were much the better team for most of the game. They could have equalised but I think we would have scored again anyway. My observations

- Gerring was missed, particularly at set pieces
- Jake Hyde makes a huge difference for us. He was greatly missed
- Edser looked tidy and linked up well as always, but I much prefer him deeper. I would try swapping him with Armani
- Josh is a good player and seems a great captain
- Fantastic ‘outside edge’ off the defender for the first.
- oh and the KRE did well. Good singing and some funny songs.
