Another big win for them now.

I'm not sure we'll catch them

Even if we win them all, it's going to be one hell of a battle.

2nd isn't all bad, 1 leg play-off semi at home and if we win that the play-off final at Kingfield.

Really? You were basing us catching them on Slough getting a result away to Torquay?

So what’s changed based on today?

For me, nothing. They have tougher games coming up - which will shape the top two, whereas today was always going to be a home win for them IMO.

Slough also were down to ten for whole second half. It was 0 0 before that.

Torquay beating a 10 man Slough at home 4-0 is not the best basis to use as to decide whether we will catch them. 5 points behind 3 games in hand. If we get Loza and Edser till end of season i personally think we will. The form sheet is basically the same as ours.

Dartford were ten minutes away from top spot last season but lost out on goal difference when H&W scored a late goal. They then proceeded to get knocked out by 7th placed Braintree at home.

Not sure today's result changes much, esp if we get a result on Wednesday. I realise they are 5 pts ahead, but we do have 3 games in hand, & still have to play them at home, which if it continues as it is at the moment that game will be massive.

As for getting Edser til the end of the season, that would be fantastic. However am I right that as Loza is on his 3rd month loan, this will see the end of his stint with us?

good interview with Loza here. Says if his loan hadn't been extended, he wouldn't have played tomorrow. Also says he'd like to be here 'til the end of the season.

Any chance we can ask the people who just won £115m if they would give us the money to buy Loza?

Think it will be tough knocking Torquay off the top. They are a massive club at this level who seem to have got their house in order and have assembled a decent squad & with the Bristol City connection they have a good source for decent loan signings.

IIMO we are now a better team than faced them in both league & cup games so It will be interesting to see how we get on against Welling on Wednesday which will give us a better idea where we are given that we just edged them after they went down to 10 in a very tough game earlier this season.

Torquay have had some fairly straightforward fixtures recently. We will win the games in hand and they will slip up when they play some more challenging matches. I would rather be in our shoes where we have everything in our own hands at present.

From my understanding, we won’t be able to get a 1 month loan but could get him till the end of the season.

Something about these boys and the boss that tells me they will fight tooth and nail to the very end. Couldn't find an ounce of fight in last year's squad (Baxter exempt) ... This squad is different..... Torquay et all won't get it easy

Hi all, Torquay fan in peace! Quite interesting reading through this thread and seeing various comments towards us. I am confident we will drop points soon, in our next 5 games we have Bath, Welling and Chelmsford (notable mention to Oxford City who won't be a walk in the park either). We've seemed to have gone from thoroughly outplaying teams to generally being more efficient and not having the best performance, I expect this will come to bite us soon. The game away to you on 6th April is looking monumental and should be a good one!

Top effort for your game today and a lot to be proud of, thoroughly enjoyed watching it and seeing Gerring go through Success.

Hahaha. Because a thread on the Torquay forum about Woking would definitely cause them to lose matches.
