Great interview, and so pleased the match got fixed after all this time. I remember standing on the CLT whilst on a really bad run of form (Cockerill era?) and some folks talking about a few youth players we should really give a chance in the first team - “Who’s Gez Sole? Never heard of him....” I remember the first few substitution appearances at home. Very positive from the get-go. Great servant for the club, and so many awesome goals that will live long in the memory. Wish I could have made the match. I still chuckle at the post-match interview with GH when Gez hit that worldy free-kick away at Aldershot....”He’s not gonna hit that is he?!” Good times - thanks Gez :)

Even better was Halifax, when the interviewer said to Thommo “that’s a once I’m a career free kick”. The calm reply of “no he did it earlier in the season”
