That issue aside,I see David Taylor has decided to attend. Either that or he just happens to be at Celtic Manor on the same weekend. Interesting version of stepping down with 'immediate effect'.

I assume DT holds shares still and as such is entitled to attend.

Not a Shareholder meeting, but a meeting for club and league officials to make and change policy if needed.

So, yes an interesting demonstration of “stepping down with immediate effect”!!!!!!

Apologies - only just got back from the AGM. All clubs entitled to be in the different divisions passed the requirements and so there was no reprieve and we are in National League South. Once again the Community department did well and was on the short list of 3 (out of 69 clubs) for the award - which was won by Eastbourne.

To clarify here... Places at Celtic Manor had to be booked and paid for months ago and David and his wife had booked into (and paid) for their room prior to his resignation as a Director. David was not present or involved with the AGM at all ...

I read somewhere that club budgets had to be filed this Thursday and that Gateshead might struggle so we are potentially still in for a reprieve.

I think from reading Nico's post, it's all set now. Gateshead would probably have to see out the season on a tiny budget if necessary.

Some of the financial distribution has got to be looked at in the National. Mammoth parachute payments and an increasing amount of former League clubs means there's a huge chasm. And you will continue to get clubs spending beyond their means to try and bridge that gap for a shot at League football.

Dan you are probably right they will put in a proposal to work off a tiny budget with the hope the sale goes through asap. Here is where I read about the budgets to be in on by 14 June if it’s of interest https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/f ... k-14764372

It's a growing club it would seem! Just like the number of deals Jarvis has done...

Isn't it time to stop dwelling on what's happened, the personalities involved, and what people believe to have been their contributions - and to now focus on the future prospects for Woking FC?

The club has a new manager, who has a solid track record and seems to be building a team in a structured manner from the back. There's even the possibility that we might start winning a few games next season. And there is understood to be an ongoing investment/potential development initiative which could deliver benefits in the fullness of time. IMHO, this continuing obsession with what are now 'faces from the past' seems unhealthy...

For a club to make the same mistake twice in under a decade, and for one person, in particular, to be closely connected to that mistake probably warrants some attention.

I am sure we can all move forward whilst remaining aware that some hazards to our progress can be identified from history and should, if at all possible, be avoided like the plague. To remind ourselves (and others) of this occasionally may not be a bad thing if we are to avoid further decline.

I totally agree with that and, for me, the major lesson would seem to be that those involved in the running of a football club - I guess we are talking about board members - should use their influence to ensure that decisions relating to football - e.g. selection/recruitment of a manager - are not left in the hands of people who don't have a solid background in the game.

With regard to the Naked Leader Twitter account, that specifically relates to, and is in support of, DT's professional business interests and has nothing to do with his involvement with Woking FC. Given that, I simply don't understand the willy-waving garbage about being blocked from access to that account. I have to assume that certain people have used that Twitter handle to attack him personally in respect of Woking FC matters and, if so, it would be entirely understandable if he blocked those people and others that he feels could damage him, based on comments they've made elsewhere. If I was in his position, I'd want them to FRO...

Hmm yes I'm sure him posting pictures of himself outside the BBC with Jarvis relates to his business!
