Good news. Liked what I saw on the ball, just needs to develop off the ball.

"He's one of our own..."

Was surprised he didn't get more time last year after a few good moments. Hopefully the NLS will be a good place for him to grow and develop.

Surprised the club didn't announce that we were signing someone at half 7 and to stay tuned?

Joking aside, pleased with that. Looked ok last season, and the South will be a good place for him to develop. Plus he nailed McNulty so he's a good lad in my eyes.

Think he offered a real alternative to Carter last season, albeit without the end product. A real physical and dynamic presence in the middle, in a season where we often had Isaac and Ferdijones spraying passive balls from deep without getting involved enough. Hope to see a lot more of him.

I’m very happy with that too. Good enough for whichever league we eventually get put in. Echo the sentiment that he was unfortunate not to get more games for one reason or another.

I especially like the comment of Dowson:

Over the years I’ve developed a number of young players who have gone on to bigger things and, if he works at it, hopefully Declan will be the next.

Down to earth, you have to work hard for it or you're nowhere, are you Banton?

I remember that goal, he was like Le God, turning away before it hit the net, good prospect with the right coaching.
