For individual posters, you add them to your Foe list in your User Control Panel.

I'll look at how to ignore threads.

Any chance of increasing the number of posts per page? 10 per page seems too few, 30 or 40 I would say is more reasonable

Bet there's only one poster on the foe'd list though, am I right or am I right?

The foe feature is a winner btw

Fortunately, like PMs, I have no idea who adds who.

Is there any way to be always logged in on my phone and computer? Atm if I log onto one it logs me out of the other, I used to be able to be logged into both simultaneously

Hmm, I've not suffered that. Are you selecting "Log me on automatically each visit" as you log in?

Yup. I assumed it was something to do with the fact on this board it "logs you in automatically on each visit" rather than keeps you logged in all the time. And when It trys to log me in on one when im already logged in on the other it can't. But I dont know. Not the end of the world if it can't be sorted :)

Ticking that box keeps you logged in all the time, on any device - That's how it works for me anyway

It's cookie based rather than session based, so shouldn't be logging you out on other devices

Actually, I was at my ease with the other board, still facing some troubles trying to visualize single posts. Or, at least, I can see the first poster, not those answering, thus decide to read it or not.

But this MAY by a limit of mine... Still learning...

COYC, however, forever & whatsoever.

The new board is still under development. I realize that, but are there plans afoot for Ignoring individual messages within a Topic?

That'd be a very nice option to have.

Mr O any news on the ignore post option.
When 1 or more foes start a topic / conversation which would be far better suited to PM it would prove to be a useful tool.

thanks in anticipation

Are you going to change the clock to BST?

Looks like this is something you have to do for yourself.

If you click on "User Control Panel" at the top and then navigate to the Board Preferences tab, there is an option for setting that we are in Daylight Savings Time now.
You can also set your time zone there so for our multitudes of international fans, it is possible to see when the post was made in your local time rather than try to convert from UK time.

Hello, this software doesn't have the Ignore Topic option I'm afraid. I looked into it and somebody did start to write the enhancement but then stopped. It's a bit risky adding in abandoned code into the board.

It's on the requirements list and I'm still looking around.

Do threads automatically 'archive' themselves? I was looking for a thread from not so long ago but it appears that only threads since the beginning of June are viewable...

Hello Russ,

Yes, to keep the database trimmed it archives after three weeks (the old board did this too).

Cheers,
Mike

This makes 10, yes 10, years ago! If this it is not a record I wonder what it could be!
Congrats Mr. O & thanks for your time spent for all of us!

I agree! My OCD is setting in real bad…. Mr O and admin, is it time to ‘clear’ those old pinned posts out? Just a suggestion.
