Fantastic appointment by the board. After last year's costly experiment, we've got and got a man in who knows the local non league game. That's before even taking into account that he was probably the stand out candidate. Top work. To have Tyler with him is great too, not only for his love of WFC and his football knowledge, but the profile it brings to the club.

Try not to be too critical of the Hampton fans - it's been a tough four days for them to say the least. We have to look after ourselves though and judging by Hampton's statement everything is above board.

Really looking forward to seeing the squad Alan is able to recruit - I imagine the return of Max will be on the to do list. Looked a talent when he was fit with us.

Hard not to be positive about this, and a welcome relief after a torrid few months.

Its quite simple RC - the agreement was all done yesterday ( fairly late) with a request for an early, coordinated announcement between Woking and H and R early today. In that time, while we could assume Martin would come it couldn't be confirmed. Can you imagine if we had said he was coming and didnt!

Martin was there today and described as Dowse's assistant - there is also a hope to bring in a coach but again that can't be confirmed until all the procedures have been done. H and R come over really well in all this.

In another post there was a question about Jason Goodliffe and Geoff publicly praised him in the press conference ( all other candidates were confidential). He has left and I would say he is a top man and totally gutted about the relegation. Personally I hope he gets a job soon as he would be good in any club and Geoff has the highest regard for him

Tyler is down as Assistant manager.

Also interesting to see who is left on the squad page.

Isn't it just the loanees, Banton, and Bawling removed?

Funny, when Limbrick was sacked I was scratching my head a little as to who would be a suitable replacement. I wanted a non league journeyman who knew his stuff and would take no shit.

When Dowson's name came up and I looked into him a bit, he became my number 1 choice. Having heard that interview, I'm actually excited now.

Bringing Tyler with him is a bonus, a guy who has a passion for the club and will hopefully instill that in the squad with the added bonus of a bit of media interest/profile around his involvement.

Great appointment, let the squad rebuild begin!

I look after that and I know nothing more than anyone here. Just removed loanees and those confirmed as gone - Banton, Bawling, Theo. I believe Tyler was confirmed as assistant manager by Alan this morning.

Good work to all involved in making this happen

A football man that knows this level of football and will command respect but is also media savvy and will bring the community with him

Chapple was right when he said we go backwards to step forward

Still not sure the the wheels on the bus being on the pitch but just maybe they will be now
