Re: Promotion and relegation to the NL next season

Bit cocky for me. I will wait to the AGM. Though saying that..... Worthing please. Been to all the others and they are shite, except for Aveley where I haven't been...but considering the other grounds/towns in the vicinity I think I can make a guess how attractive a prospect that is. Essex [shudders...

I’m also not 100% on Doyle, but more positive than negative.
Of the huge budget how much of it is fit and available?

Re: Wealdstone

So is it just that he’s at the back that means it doesn’t work on the pitch when things were going badly and the effort wasn’t there? Or was he leaving it to the captain? If it worked every time then no team would ever have a bad day or look like they’re not trying. Even the best team in the world ...

Re: Wealdstone

Watching the warm up once during the season and saw him absolutely bawl out ( expletives deleted) another very senior (and good) teammate because he thought the warm up it was sloppy. Absolutely he is a leader, respected by others and really hope he can stick round So is it just that he’s at the ba...

Re: Updated DOYLERSTATS

A word on the attendances. What a phenomenal effort this year. We literally didn't win at home for 6 months. That average of 2650 is far more than what they were getting over the border whilst in our current position fighting relegation last year. "Azeem out, I'm not coming back until he's gone.......

I’ve reasonable grounds to expect Halifax will have problems preparing their pitch for midweek fixtures atm.

This was yesterday.

Player stats telling a story....

Was just looking at the player stats and they certainly tell a story about the season. 41 players used in 44 league games. Only 7 players started over 20 of them, only 3 of those started over 30 (lucky the 'to be protected' Cuthbert has managed 41!) Our top scorer in the league is Ricky Korboa on ju...

Re: Updated DOYLERSTATS

Agree on Edwards and Judge, but maybe that keeps us in the game before we bring on Luker to make a huge difference. Judge may nto play again for us anyway I like Kendall, quick, aggressive and more importantly really wants to put in a shift for us I noticed in Doyle's interview that, after praising...

Re: Wealdstone

They've said it's too late in the season to name a replacement. Their statement essentially said the senior players are going to lead the team. It's only 2 weeks, despite the fact they have 5 games in that time. I guess they decided they were going down with the manager they had so this is a last r...

Re: Updated DOYLERSTATS

It was good to see Anderson back - bit of muscle and directness. Not keen on Edwards and Judge playing together - too similar and too flimsy. RGC is ludicrously thinner than when he came on and got injured last time. The cunning was there on rolling defenders, but the touch was rusty (or he’s lost m...

Re: Match day thread D÷R Home

Was he marking Inih if Inih was out running onto the corner, or just when DKE was assigned to stop Inih blocking the keeper? A midget pushing into the rib cage can be hard to push back as your upper body strength is too high to use. Yes, just when Inih was on the keeper, so fair. We were a little s...

Re: Updated DOYLERSTATS

Add to that list, fitness - we're the ones now scoring in the last few minutes of games and picking up points as opposed to the points we lost earlier in the season towards the end of games. You don't play over 750 professional games without focussing on fitness Do you think it is just pure fitness...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 3-2 Dagenham & Redbridge | Match Highlights and Dion Kelly-Evans Interview

Thought it was the correct decision at the time (and still do), but watching the highlights makes me even more surprised the Wilkinson challenge to set up the first goal wasnt given as a foul by the ref. On his side is that he clearly got there first, got a directed header on it, and Daggers made su...

Re: Updated DOYLERSTATS

I would assume the difference is getting the squad as fit as he wants them and getting the hang of playing the way he wants to.
Helped by a steady stream of new players, particularly Edwards and Berkoe.

Re: Match day thread D÷R Home

Was it too fast for the keeper? He barely waves at as it goes by! Another very busy and effective game from DKE - a few other players could learn from his commitment (yeah you Mr Edwards) I thought the best player on the pitch was another wee man - the wD&R no 20, a right pain in the arse. And he w...

Re: Kevin Berkoe

I’m still not convinced by Luker, great goal but a bit of a wafty luxury. Better as an impact sub. I'm very much convinced by him, but also agree with the last bit. He really changes a game when he comes on. He's like a far more talented Paul Hodges (it's also excusable because of his age, whereas ...

Re: Kevin Berkoe

I thought he was poor today but scored an important goal. Luker would be one I would try to get on a season long loan if we could I thought Berkoe had a poor game, but then popped up with a fantastically calm finish when it mattered. Would love him to sign on next season. I’m still not convinced by...

I can't believe someone likes Dartford or their ground. Did you like the world's worst drummer too?
Truro have loads of games because they forgot to take care of a fairly fundamental part of being a football club - having a football pitch.

Didn't Chester beat Barrow for us too despite being crap and having no players? Yep. And we only made it to the final day in reach because we scraped past an already relegated Guiseley team who had played Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday before our game there. Is that when we scraped a draw up there aga...

The relegation against Dover was pathetic. Just needed to win against an unimpressive Dover and never really looked likely, didn't even feel like there was a desperate attempt going on.

Re: WFC TV | Bromley 1-1 Woking | Highlights and Interviews

Ok, maybe Delap should have shielded that ball out. If he had been jogging over then definitely yes, but he’s sprinted 20 yards so he’s got to slow down, make sure he’s actually in the way, and brace. If he gets it wrong the Bromley player has the momentum to run round the long way and keep the bal...

Re: Bromley (A) Match Thread

I think this is a sensible post. Normally, I’d agree. But what changes would/could you make to improve that side with the remaining subs..? Bromley were having a bit of a go at the time, and why would you put the likes of (for example) Young Smith into that environment? He doesn’t seem the sort of ...
