I just read the headline, "Mellon's back in the dugout", and thought we'd re-signed Bradley Pratt.

That Limbrick goal machine Jonathan Edwards has just put St Ives Town 2-0 up, against Tamworth. A dribbly toe-poke, in their bid to stay in the Southern League Central.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

My memories of late 80s visits to Worthing involved hours (probably 15 minutes) in the arcades before the game. My two kids would be delighted with that. Wasn’t it Worthing who we got Tim Read from? It was. I wonder if he's still learning? We went there three times in Isthmian League Division One d...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

I thought Scunthorpe looked quite good, except for the gaping hole in their defence, they will pick up points. Torquay are masters of the great escape. I can see two of Maidenhead, Dorking & Aldershot dropping. The PE teacher has just signed three school kids. Eat your words! Well, some of them. Yo...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

On paper Yeovil's squad looks far too full of quality again, to the point I'd be a bit shocked if they dropped... Oldham also sound like they'll break out the cheque book this window if needed. I'd have to think both will be safe come May which leaves an awful lot of ground to be made up for the cu...

Charlie Cooper signs an 18-month deal with Yeovil after leaving Oldham last month. Apparently he's been training with Yeovil since then, and manager Mark Cooper has been sufficiently impressed by what he's seen to sign him.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

That may well be the case... How many near-50 year olds playing tier 7-8/Southern Prem or so? I'm guessing prolly none or the odd one in their mid-forties...? Jefferson Louis, Barry Hayles. Jefferson Louis scores a hat trick for Thame tonight, in front of 78 fans. One for every birthday he's had.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

People are talking about wanting a forward who's horrible to play against - Dominic Poleon is one player I hope we'd at least enquire about. Mark Cousins and Luke O'Neill shouldn't be down their either. Ollie Pierce, currently at Worthing would be worth a look at tbh. Just seen Ollie Pierce score, ...

How did Harvey-ore Bradbury play for Woking?
I'm watching him play for Gosport at Paulton, and he just got booked for the latest challenge on a keeper I've ever seen. I'm not sure it's happened yet it was so late.
