Re: Retained list

Did someone on here imply there was a dodgy link between all of these players on one agent? Not sure if there is anything in it as there are a lot of players on their books but i have counted 9 players signed from one agency in Sarll's time, ranging in order of quality from Alfie Pavey to James Dal...

He was great for a season nobody can't argue that, I think Rochdale will be one of the favorites next season
He wasn't even great for a whole season - it tailed off badly with us staggering into the playoffs and then embarrassing ourselves there.

Re: Sarill goes to Hartlepool

Dont forget the endurance clapping! I really miss the ‘clapping people clapping you’ routine after each away game. Why did it always go on for so long? With everyone clearly thinking “stop it now, it’s getting awkward”. I couldn't decide whether it was "no you stop clapping...ok lets stop clapping ...

Re: Retained list

For the transfer and wages to get in a better keeper than Will I would prefer that money was spent up front where the real problem is, or getting in Timi and/or other quality centrebacks.

Re: Retained list

I’m going to guess the players offered deals will be at a reduced rate hence not agreeing yet Not sure that’s a safe assumption. Dunno how long a deal stays on the table but unless the club rushes them why would they rush in without waiting for other offers? For all we know they were offered the de...

Re: Promotion and relegation to the NL next season

If we send the league Solihull or Bromley isn't there a risk they are going to throw a fit and take the second promotion place away?
If Alty get into the league there will be a split in the time space continuum - they are non-league royalty like us!

Worthing is also plastic

Of all the clubs in the South I wouldnt mind Chelmsford, however their record in the play offs is hideous
Why would you want to go to the Gulag?!
I want Worthing as I haven't been there, its not in Essex, and its by the seaside (so we will get them in November).

Re: Worthing FC Stadium Plans Approved

So they are getting rid of the only good bit about the Rec? I thought the problem was it being a public park that they couldn’t build on - has that gone away and now they can build housing on it? Theres a good bit? hopefully if they are building on that area, they will improve the lighting as well ...

Saw Will in the bar after the game and he did look 6’ .
Must be the meekness rather than being a mouthy goon jumping around that makes him look small in the goal.

Ashmore is a bit of a prick, and not very tall as I remember it. And hang on….Baxter?! He also had problems being a short arse. I just don’t see how you get an upgrade without spending a huge amount of money, and seeing as our defensive stats were pretty good and goals scored pathetic I don’t see w...

In the other direction, would probably be good for one of Barnet and Bromley to go up, both have been consistently up there for a while and are potentials to do a Chesterfield next season
They also have the potential to do a Boringwood next season. Wouldn’t that be a shame…..

Re: National league back scrapping of replays

Absolute clowns the lot of them. Without replays we would have missed out on: Millwall away Coventry home Brighton home Bury away Peterborough away and I'm sure many more that I've missed/before my time However we might have had the joy of beating those teams in extra time/on penalties first time o...

Re: Keep or cull?

Lot of fans seem determined to dump Will. Who do you intend to replace him with? If you want a keeper who can make the saves, dominate the area, and is happy to bring the ball out like Doyle seems to like how much are you going to pay - because keepers who can do everything don’t need to bum around...

Re: Club shop

If you were going to do a stall you would probably be better off taking it round all the fetes, fairs, and festivals over the summer flogging merchandise and pushing season tickets and general awareness. But I’m not volunteering to staff it, would anyone else? Maybe RGC could, if we can keep him off...

Re: 20 seats on the CLT

Does anyone really expect "decent" food or beer at football, especially as an away fan?! It's a burger/hot dog etc... and whatever beer is available. I think Oldham last season was just lager poured out of a can. It's fine. I think the problem is we don't even offer the basics. Below was from a Sou...

How would they get there?
Through the middle concourse of the LGS is the only way and they enter through the normal away entrance
Wouldn’t you have to go up and then down again? It’s slow enough getting out of the LGS!

Watching the highlights it’s no accident that Tunji was in place to score those goals. Good set piece work by Cuthbert and Turner I believe?
Not so good set piece work was Luker’s free kick. Not sure I could get that elevation if I tried!

Move those seats, the porter cabin bogs and tea bar down the other end of the terrace and you could give home fans half the CLT too.
How would they get there?
