Re: Casey

I think you underestimate the arrogance of some footballers and the attitudes/gullibility of managers - “they just haven’t been managed properly, I am more talented and can manage them better”. And assume they they aren’t fairly sure they have a contract lined up for next season. Which players woul...

Re: Injured players

MD seems to prefer younger players, I am guessing his background is the reason for this, so hopefully next season the longer-term issues might not be as bad, hopefully. He also appears to want to play a high tempo which would favour younger players. A concern would be about burnin out mid season li...

Re: Players signed for next season

Smith is a project, got in for the future, so assume he will only leave on loan (and one where he trains with Woking). Apparently Farnborough weren’t telling the whole truth about Pavey’s fee, and the quoted £30k is not at all factual. If you don’t take a risk on some players fitness records you won...

Re: Casey

Some of our injuries can be excused as unlucky eg Kellermann and Browne. A number we’ve had were easily foreseeable given the players’ history (Wakefield, Oyeleke, Grego-Cox, Wilkinson, Korboa). I highly doubt players don’t want to be playing, especially at this stage of the season when it’s ’contr...

Re: Casey

I saw a load of the squad, including Browne, walking down from the stand at the final whistle. Doubt they're sitting there just because they've got a free ticket so good to see them supporting their teammates. Maybe they're always there but I only noticed because I went to Moaners for the second ha...

Re: Casey

Unfortunately, thats not the impression that many others, both on here and at the ground, have got on some of the 'injured' players And presumably those expressing those opinions are equally un-informed, as you, and FWITK on the other thread, have acknowledged. Not if they have heard such things fr...

Re: Match Thread Barnet H

Edwards had a decent debut then spent a couple of games avoiding challenges and playing lots of simple passes. He's now getting on the ball a lot more and has upped his workrate massively. His performance in midfield at Ebbsfleet was as anonymous as anyone I can remember. My concern is what happens...

Competition always good. What Habergham was supposed to offer.
Yup - Moss seems a better player since we brought Kelly-Evans in. The first time he’d had competition in 18 months.
It also helps that he has to do less defending in and around the box as one of the CBs does most of it.

Re: Match Thread Barnet H

Who got booked after the final whistle whilst arguing with the officials - couldn’t see if it was Casey or a Barnet player?
Is it notable that Casey was on the bench in the same gear as the coaching team rather than the subs?

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Barnet | Match Highlights

Berkoe is a pretty good eh?! Very calm for the goal - chipped it up looking for the penalty but when the tackle didn’t come he picked a spot and slammed it in. I do like that given any space in front of him Timi will just charge forward with the ball, force a response and then pass it forward, and k...

Re: Match Thread Barnet H

Hard to feel to aggrieved by our performance today. That's the worst we have played unfortunately all season. Missing key players however we can play so much better. Like to see the offside goal looked really tight. Ref was comedy, I think he was shocking for both sides getting bizarre decisions ag...

Re: Casey

I’m not getting the ‘not a wing back, he’s a defender’ when he’s got the energy to get up and down the line all day but can’t stop crosses when he is a at left back (as evidenced at least twice on Tuesday including their first goal).

Re: WFCTV | Rochdale 2-1 Woking | Highlights and Interview

I reckon the chap got off the line fast enough, and definitely fast enough that when the lino looked Anderson would have appeared offside. I’m adding to the charge list for their winner - I reckon the bloke who moved Casey out the way was offside and interfering with Casey’s blocking and Will’s visi...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

DKE’s tackle looks pretty rash there - an unnecessarily wild swing with his left and looks like his right slides slides through the blokes standing foot. He’s just a frantic footballer, needs to calm everything down a notch. The winner goes in very close to Will, though hammered round/through a bit...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Haven't seen the highlights from last night so I can't comment on Rochdale's winner, but I can guarantee you that there is absolutely no way WJ will have a long pro career. He has too many technical faults with his game and he's just too error-prone. At last count his errors had cost us over 10 poi...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Incredibly biased and selective editing there. All making Rochdale look better than they actually were and totally swerving any lucky decisions that went their way. Extra camera angle for their worldy but no replay at all for the offside equaliser. What a grim little club they have turned out to be...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

IMO we got the rough end of the 3 big decisions I was shown the freeze frame of DKE's tackle - he got the ball before the Dale player, his feet were on the ground and it wasn't 2 footed. he did go in hard but IMO legally Pavey's tackle was, to my mind, expertly executed Apparently the footage shows...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Other good points Timi’s recovery pace means we can risk playing higher - he can cover a lot of open space behind the line Pavey looks much better - interested, won headers, and the chase back for the tackle that harshly was given as a foul (eventually leading to their winner) was an example of real...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Moss had a decent game other than his final delivery at times, I thought. Casey, Edwards, and Kendall were all at it, but there definitely seemed to be a lot of legginess out there too. We put a lot into the game first half and they sat off and hardly looked bothered at times. Put himself about but...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Good spirit and some cracking one touch and pinged passing at times. Was Ince unfit or just not really interested? DKE is a frantic player and whilst a couple of Rochdale fans said it was harsh on the way out there was just no need for that to be two footed and give the lino the decision. We didn’t ...

Kin’ Anderson. Move the bloody ball man!
He had nothing on and got surrounded.
Though he has been a bit poor by his standards.
Worried about how much energy there will be in the team toward the end

I was correct though, he fluffs far too many sitters and then goes and does that sat which was so hard to do at full tilt
He's an entertainer - knocking in an early sitter just doesn't have the drama.
