Re: When could/ should the new season start?

Even if spectators were allowed the clubs are going to need to ponder how many will refuse to turn up - lots of older fans about plus families that might not want to risk it. Would at least affect budgeting, which going to be even riskier guesswork than normal!

Re: League 2 North and South?

The league clubs are going to look at the risks.
One bad season and they could be going to Hungerford Town the next!

Re: League 2 North and South?

Yeah we should have been playing Exeter, Plymouth Or Torquay in a League Two south match instead. Work the average distance out over the course of a season, time taken, cost per mile to transport a complete team and kit. It’s, blindingly obvious that the proposal is a good idea, from Our point of v...

Re: League 2 North and South?

There would be a load of farcical mismatches, both in terms of playing budgets and facilities.
And it would take out the novelty Northern games for more crap in London and Essex

Mate of Dowse's I think - pretty random but fun. Maybe the team should run out to 'One and Only'?
A good enough mate to get away with calling him Alan?
Away from football he is called Alan and speaks like Noel Coward

Re: Who do we keep?

Will there even be a pre season? Clubs will want to start competition as soon as the go ahead is given and not take on players until that is a pretty solid date.

Re: Who do we keep?

So when are clubs going to start signing players? Anyone but the heavily backed clubs won’t want to sign anyone until they have a date when the crowds are going to be back or the FA pay the clubs to play behind close doors.

Re: Who do we keep?

Being a manager will be very tough for the next few months. Who knows when they will get to play, when they have to take players on, and the budgets must be very fluid and dependent on starting dates and a big guess over how many people will actually turn up (looking at those surveys showing lots of...

‘Guildford have gone about it [providing housing] in a different way’

Sure but Woking don’t have far flung corners of the borough which aren’t really Guildford to dump the housing in......

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

On social media they are saying the planning inspector has rejected.
“Firm in his recommendation that the site is not suitable” for the density and that affordable should be 50%
Is this true or SWAG flexing the truth again?

What makes you think the club is being given back? I thought the council were getting control?

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I support the development, just concerned about who will own the club (and having to go to Farnborough for two years!!)
The talk of rugby has been around right from the start. There not being a local club would just be seen as an opportunity by someone like Morgan....

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I think the concern is that the Woking CEO is more interested in getting a rugby club to Woking.
Once they were in the council, who will own WFC, might lose interest in the football and will have an ongoing sports use of the stadium if WFC went pop.

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

There is a construction site of some sort off Loop Road isn’t there? Part of the fields is being used for something according to the plans.
Not sure whether it is site offices or materials.
Bit like the bit behind Moaners that was used for building Willow Reach?
