Re: Next Season Expectation.

I would regard Kingfield Ender as an expert on the subject of prioritizing football stadium criteria requirements, and believe he would be something of an authority on the key issues. Two major criteria, that are deemed essential, firstly the pitch must be natural grass. Secondly the stadium must ha...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

Sheerwater has many downsides on the transport front. Pubs too, but then at least people would drink in the club bar. Not sure if I would agree transport wise. Less than three miles from Woking station, and only a mile from west byfleet station On a few bus routes and reasonable parking availabilit...

Re: Manny Parry signs

3 or 4 more signings, then space for a couple of the more impressive trialists during pre-season

I’d consider Deacon or Taylor who are recent departures from Sutton Utd - unless Doswell has signed them for Havant already

Re: Next Season Expectation.

As MattA inferred earlier why just not build a 7,000 capacity stadium in Sheerwater and then there is no need to return to Kingfield. We can play there until it’s completed so no need to groundshare. The developers can then develop the whole of Kingfield. It’s sooooo simple I’m surprised nobody’s t...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

No. Firstly I refuse to accept that Rio is right. He never is. Two: um, here’s an idea Woking Borough Council...why waste time and money building a football ground on all that lovely house-building land at Kingfield, just put temporary structures up at Sheerwater/Westfield and fuck over the footbal...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

I wouldn’t necessarily object if the council decided to build a new purpose built 10,000 capacity stadium in Sheerwater and then immediately donate the stadium, surrounding land & the freehold to the club

We could just move the entire LGS to Loop road and play there.

Re: Next Season Expectation.

With all due respect, hopefully the club investigate this fully - rather than relying on a bloke who says lots of stuff but backs none of it up. If Westfield and temporary stands was easy, we’d have probably already announced it. From what I’m told, it’s possible, but potentially more expensive tha...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

Comparing it to Exeter rugby or cricket where everyone sits down and doesn’t bounce around is just foolish. You don’t get temporary standing stands they are always seated stands. Can you image trying to erect 3 x a thousand seat stands at Westfield? Because that is what you would need to do. Let al...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

The wheatsheaf home of Staines Town is at least up to National league south grading

That might be an available option

Do the National league ever grant a temporary exemption to allow short term use of a ground just below the grading requirement?

Re: Next Season Expectation.

Walton would be great, but highly unlikely as the Athletics club and both the Walton clubs share it and it now appears that EBC now could face pulling the whole place down as the original planning permission was unlawful. Met Police would be a good option. Imber court or dorking would be decent opt...

I work in HR as one of 13 men out of 73 We have a drive right now to put more women into management positions. If you have two equal candidates, one male and one female then you pick the woman ! What about the other men that think you’re a woman (you certainly drink like one), they think there’s on...

Re: Womens football.

I remember when the England Womens Team played Farnborough Reserves. And lost 6-0 Why couldn't it be a physical game against a ladies team ?, they keep telling us they are equal. In fact I'm tired of women wanting equal pay in sport for doing less or performing at a lower level. Football is a physi...

New away kit
Our little nod to our 'friends' Watford? ;-)
It’s looks very “Wembley 95”

Macron to supply our kit this season.

https://www.wokingfc.co.uk/news/article ... l-partner/

Jolly decent of the French President to take time out from running a country to produce our kit.

Glad he’s got his priorities right.

The away kit is bound to be blue again.

I was under the impression we had already re-signed Ross. Am i wrong? If we have then i would expect Sam to be our number 1 number 1, and Ross to be our number 2 number 1. Or, if we haven't signed Ross then we still have (slight?) chance of signing Rob Green...... I've been listening to "That Peter...

I don’t think we make anywhere near that as profit, because of the mandatory police bill for the match.

Plus the repair bill for the fence they like to trash
Surely we can send them the bill for any damage

Re: AGM Lottery

I would prefer the league composition to be decided on footballing merit, that said, there are rules to abide by which it seems Gateshead have breached. Shame for Gateshead, and their supporters - hopefully they can get control of the club and return one day. As KE mentioned above, the Aldershot gam...

It also provides the possibility of playing two players in that more defensive role, in something more like a double pivot. Which might be more prudent sometimes away from home. When playing at home we should look to be more offensive, but against the bigger hitters a more defensive initial setup ma...

Maybe at the AGM they will decide to make it a 5-a-side league to help clubs balance the wage bill.
