Re: Notts County

That game could be recreated like Phoenix from the flames, for the benefit of those not there. Bret Williams could volunteer as the bloke who gets Junior Hunter sent off.

Re: Loza Joins Billericay

Does anyone really care about what's happened here? Loza did well for us, injected some essential pace to our attack and picked up some handy goals/assists. I imagine he's taken the opportunity to get a decent pay rise and if he lives over that way, has reduced his time on the M25, which is always a...

Re: Torquay

If you've not got round to it yet, the Woking thread on the Torquay forum is highly entertaining and worth five minutes of your time. Apparently we were lucky to beat Welling. Whilst I didn’t turn up until just after Cook scored, that would have been my view too. It was a very close game (from abou...

Re: Torquay

Another big win for them now. I'm not sure we'll catch them Torquay beating a 10 man Slough at home 4-0 is not the best basis to use as to decide whether we will catch them. 5 points behind 3 games in hand. If we get Loza and Edser till end of season i personally think we will. The form sheet is ba...

Re: Torquay

So what’s changed based on today?

For me, nothing. They have tougher games coming up - which will shape the top two, whereas today was always going to be a home win for them IMO.

Really? You were basing us catching them on Slough getting a result away to Torquay?

£500K from the cup run? That’s about double what the most optimistic view is - isn’t it?

Re: What's Your New Year Wish?

We will need to go back up, it’s just so unappetising i would take two play off losses if we were guaranteed to go up in the third season (like last time) Build up some positive momentum before going back to the grind and losing a lot. Where does Sutton’s money come from? Plastic pitch, generous ow...

Re: Orlu reunion

Just for clarity - I wasn’t suggesting that I’d want him back. I just think that Limbrick’s complete lack of flexibility has painted him as one of our worst players of recent seasons, when I think he was just a square peg in a round hole. My initial point was that with a good manager, who knows the ...

Re: Orlu reunion

Am I the only person who thinks Orlu might have done quite well under a manager who understands non-league football? He messed up a couple of times defensively, but he kicked it and headed it mostly when needed. His problems came about when he was asked to spray it around like some sort of genius sw...
