Re: From Woking Community Stadium Facebook Page

As a clarification we will be putting this on the website soon Stadium redevelopment clarification Woking FC can confirm that should the proposed development proceed then the Club totally agrees that it should be wholly in control of its own destiny. The specific mechanism by which this could be ac...

Mate of Dowse's I think - pretty random but fun. Maybe the team should run out to 'One and Only'?

That may explain Loza’s comment on twitter today if Chelmsford have released players. Their loss our gain? I’d like to think so.

If Borehamwood have released Tshimanga I’d have him over here like a rocket.
Time for Murtagh to come back too.

Re: Who do we keep?

I’d imagine Hyde and Gerring would get offers from elsewhere. Gerring in particular seems to get in the NLP team of the week very often, when personally I can’t remember a time he’s outperformed Moussa. Hyde’s goals to games ratio will have people looking at him on that alone and based on his CV, yo...

I couldn’t tell you. Have next to no recollection of any side until the late 80s.

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

What’s the average wage? How many people buy a place on their own these days (my two properties were both purchased between two people)? If two people are earning £30K (I assume the average in Surrey is higher btw), then some of these properties come into play if you’re talking x5 the salaries.

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

To echo the post above - I would seriously question anything being put out by SWAG at present. They’re quite good at quoting stuff out of context as fact, when quite often the opposite is often what’s going on. They also don’t like being challenged on the rubbish they’re spouting and can become abus...

17th March IIRC.

I’d urge any Woking fans to write in support to their local councillor, especially if they are on the committee who will be making the decision.

It needs to be a football ground for a football club. A huge point being massively neglected.

Look at Halifax rattling about in a ground designed for the Halifax Blue Sox rugby team
Who do you think it’s been designed for then?

I’m pretty sure Mingie is a member of SWAG. When I last saw him another passer by shouted “SWAnGer” of something similar, which I guess is a reference to his stance against high rise flats in south Woking.

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

You wont be so happy if we're the minor party in this relationship and the tenant in what used to be our own ground. I’d be far happier in that scenario than having no club or watching AFC Woking play at Westfield. Has anyone told you that there will be a rugby club sharing? If so, has someone told...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

That means more to you than financial stability and potential for success in the future? Maybe I’m in a minority, but I couldn’t care less if we were ground-sharing with a rugby team. I’d take that situation every day over administration and points deductions thanks.

Because we're a football club, not a fucking rugby club
One that’s made a profit once in about 25 years. If we shared with a rugby club that gave us the ability to either challenge for promotion or eventually take us to League two, why wouldn’t we look at it?

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

Katie Bowes is currently on twitter claiming that Woking FC (no one is named) have told her that they can’t afford to maintain the new stadium. She’s been challenged, but hasn’t replied.

Something can’t be right. Can someone from the club please challenge her formally on these lies?
