Re: Postponed Games

Had we beaten Maidstone and then Oxford, we would have had Salford away in the FAT. Kind off glad we are out now Yep - much more important things to concentrate on this season. Even if we hadn't got to the Third Round of the FA Cup I would still rather we were out. Trophy was perfect for us when we...

Re: Character/Leadership

Frankly, this year we have men amongst the squad whilst the second part of last year that really wasn't the case. Last night's win was crucial, had one of those after the Lord Mayor Show feels about it. All the more impressive after chasing Watford around in such a publicised tie just three days bef...

Re: Aldershot

I don't want them to go down. I missed the two games against them at Christmas, usual results notwithstanding. An away crowd on boxing day of about 50 or an away crowd on NYD of about 1200. The derbies against Hampton were soul destroying, not least because they were so bloody easy. Financially I t...

Re: Final reflections

In fairness the KRE has been much better in the past. Those that did want to sing were split up just due to weight of numbers that were in the terrace. Unlike Aldershot we chose to fill the spaces rather than crush in the middle.

Re: Proud

Absolutely superb effort by our boys today against a class outfit. The gulf to that top level is just so big these days. We were slack for the opener but did so well to stay in it and a goal from a striker who is every inch Premier League quality sealed it. Cook was unbelievable at the back. I think...

Re: Sunday's Emirates FA Cup Match is Sold Out!

I've definitely overestimating (tickets for family etc. will bring the number down), but 5,700 tickets at £20 would mean £114,000 for the club. Great effort by all involved. Buzzing for Sunday. We have to split the gate receipts so it won't but it will still be a good total (about 60% of that IIRC)...

Re: Flatter than a flat thing that’s been squashed

This one's been done to death a bit. The KRE is a lot of fun when attacking that way in the second half but at the end of the day I'd rather it be guided by the players. If they get a buzz out of kicking towards a big stand then that's fine with me

Not to mention the £6k(?) prize money may have filled their weekly black hole.

Re: Aldershot

10 fit players? Put them out there then promote some youth players to fill the squad out.

Never thought I'd see such devaluing of a competition at this level

Re: Aldershot

It may not be the end of the world for them to have a season or two in the Conference South. It's done us the world of good both times so far
