Re: Match Thread Southend Utd A

Lee Angol is a nice pick up. Good to see a much stronger and more balanced bench.

Re: Alan Judge

I do appreciate the irony given the track record of our other midfielders. Greg Taylor also had a great CV but had obviously struggled to overcome a length injury lay-off similar to the one Judge has just had. But for 6 games it's incredibly low risk, hopefully he can take some of the pressure off A...

Re: Players signed for next season

Smith is a project, got in for the future, so assume he will only leave on loan (and one where he trains with Woking). Apparently Farnborough weren’t telling the whole truth about Pavey’s fee, and the quoted £30k is not at all factual. If you don’t take a risk on some players fitness records you wo...

Re: Players signed for next season

I had some interesting debates over the weekend with people about what the stay/go list would look like at the moment. Presuming - risky, I know - that we are in the same division next season, I'd divide it up like this: Keep: Moss, Walker, Kendall Offload (if possible): Ince, Smith (loan), RGC, Pav...

Re: All-time Appearances

I recall that in the good old days the match programmes listed Woking career games/goals as well as the current season. It would be good if the online stats could do the same. It's on the individual player profiles, e.g. https://www.wokingfc.co.uk/mens/first-team/profiles/josh-casey/#/statistics

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

TBF to Moussa I hope it works out for him. His behaviour during halftime at Barnet was a great example of the friendships football can bring people. Chatting to the Woking support, happy to have pictures taken with young fans. A top bloke. I believe Glenn's highlighting a rather valid criticism of ...

Inih Effiong collapsed at the end of the Dagenham game today and taken to hospital. Obviously not the most popular man on this forum but hope he's OK and recovers as well as possible.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Oh and isn't Max Pub(Barnet thing ask them) about 29 so we didn't pay anyone out. Offered him terms and he went elsewhere. King Kellerman or Max and I'm pleased he did go . COYC All I was referring to was the fact we offered Max a contract and he went to Wealdstone instead - it's not that much of a...

Lofthouse training with Wealdstone - how hilarious if we ended up getting compensation from them!
That's really odd if we've offered him a contract and he goes there...

With any luck that means we have a (proper) second keeper coming in. It looks like we do have a proper keeper coming in https://therealefl.co.uk/2023/02/02/exclusive-former-afc-wimbledon-free-agent-set-to-sign-for-new-club/ Oh wow. Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Christ Tiehi (he of one game) has joined Wigan on loan from Slovan Liberec. Their manager is fellow Ivorian Kolo Toure, so perhaps there is some sort of connection, otherwise it's crazy he's gone from us/Tonbridge in non-league to the Championship in 3 years - via about 50 games elsewhere in Europe.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

How many Academy players have we had near the squad not utilised and then gone onto better things? I can only think of Ollie Palmer. He didn't get games because we had Gez, Gray, Hammond and Cowan-Hall at the time The only others to have played at a a higher level than we were playing at the time w...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Wrexham rumoured to be after Sam Dalby Has he got Ollie Palmer’s agent? With all due respect, they’ve got two league one/two strikers, Jake Hyde as back up and an unlimited budget. I just don’t see what they’d get from a lanky target man who doesn’t head the ball or score goals. 3 EFL strikers - Mu...

Kane Thompson-Sommers was on trial for Aldershot yesterday
Loza, Kabamba and Moussa all scored in Barnet’s win. I’m convinced that at least one of them will score against us this season coming.
Speaking of Barnet, I see they signed Dale Gorman yesterday, so that's one rumour gone.

Don’t suppose anyone has the time to list them out and the level they’ve dropped to? Can’t think of many that have gone down a league (although wouldn’t be surprised if three of the four above all can’t find another conference club). I find this to be very helpful and pretty comprehensive: https://...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

No disrespect to Max, but is he really a L2 player? and are Barnet trying to become ex Woking? do they also realise that he wont be able to play the 1st few games, having had 2 red cards last season I think Loza to Barnet is a classic case of 'he always plays well against us, therefore he's good' -...

Is that release mid-contract? I thought he had more time left on his deal.

25 goals for Dartford next season.
He had a year left. Mutual termination I expect as his record was something like 3 in 45 last season.

Rumble, the young left-back who played in the SSC, also confirmed he was lea...
