Re: Promotion/relegation prediction league 2023-24: FINAL TABLE

Thank you Bowler Hat. As a reflection on our season against expectations. Was there anyone who didn't predict us to finish top 7? You can probably tell easier than I can by reviewing the table you pasted. Red and White Army and Better Red were the only two who didn't have us in the top seven. Unfor...

Re: Promotion/relegation prediction league 2023-24: FINAL TABLE

Bugger, I thought I'd got rid of those duplications. Must have used an old version of the template.

Shame the best you could finish from two attempts was 10th! I'll await an appeal from AshWFC. And don't mention it to Bobbo.

Promotion/relegation prediction league 2023-24: FINAL TABLE

Final table shows that the winner by a country mile is GROWLER. Congratulations. Honourable mentions to runner-up STOWER and bronze medallist CARDED. Dishonourable mention to ASHWFC who gets the wooden spoon, though only by a couple of points. It’s a very high scoring table this season, with several...

Re: Next season

Maybe time for Ollie Palmer to follow Kevin Betsy's example and come home to finish his career for a season or two at Woking. He's 32 now and Wrexham might not think he's what they'll need in L1.

Re: Staying up or going down?

It's a battle between a team with one of the worst scoring records but the one of the best defences in the league, against a team who are one of the league's top scorers but with one of the worst defences. Something's got to give. Our back line all need to have the game of their lives.

Re: FA Cup Replays

I'm just amazed that the PL can decide the scrapping of replays in R1 and R2 that they don't even take part in. Doesn't sound like the EFL had any say in it at all.

Re: Match Thread York City A

So as it stands we could win our last game and still go down, or lose it and stay up? What a bizarre end to a thoroughly miserable season.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Maynard back there next season after the torrid time he's had at Notts County.

Jack Marriott signs for Wrexham, giving them three former Woking strikers on their books.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Hadn't realised that Connor Hall has gone on loan from Solihull to Farnborough as a replacement for Pavey. Sounds a good bit of business for them. He scored for them yesterday.

Meanwhile Sid Nelson completed another full 90 minutes.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

According to Wikipedia, 254 appearances, 24 clubs, 29 goals. Most defenders have a better scoring record than that.
