Re: Ben Gerring signs a new deal

No need to be sorry. We are all Woking fans. We all support our club. We can all have differing opinions. Sometimes it gets personal, it shouldn't.

Re: Ben Gerring signs a new deal

Far from Gerring's biggest fan. But a clean slate for this season is the least I can do. Good interview, and good luck for next season.

Although, let's not carried away with being in the team of the year. RMW was in it the season before last! And of course Wassmer.

Re: Next Season Expectation.

Sheerwater has many downsides on the transport front. Pubs too, but then at least people would drink in the club bar.

Re: Next Season Expectation.

Keeping it in the borough would be lovely. If not Westfield then where? There isn't is there? Keeping it in Surrey, proper Surrey, not the nearly Greater London Surrey would be great too....but where? Farnborough probably the 'best' choice even though it is Hampshire. You can't please everyone all t...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

I can’t believe anyone suggesting Westfield can actually have been there. It’s tiny. The facilities are tiny. There is no room for enough temporary stands. And the residents would have a shitfit That's why I asked the question....I didn't think so either. Comparing Westfield to Bath or Exeter rugby...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

Assuming theres enough space to safely put sufficient temporary stands ar Westfield, is everything else up to scratch? Moving to Westfield, in theory, should make no difference to attendance. Due diligence will be done and yes, would be great to stay in the borough. But if not Westfield then where? ...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

Agreed on the Westfield front.

So, grounds as they are, which grounds are graded sufficiently for the conference? Who knows, we might need to look at football league standard!

And what distance from Kingfield are we talking about?

Ben Gerring was inferring on his Twitter a couple of days ago that he’ll be signing for Woking this Tuesday.
Woking ham? One can hope.

Re: Martin Tyler

Not sure I agree about RLC and this anti Chelsea thing. I'm not a fan, my 'second' club is Everton BTW. He had a decent season at Chelsea. A good goal return. Yes, perhaps he should have had more game time but he does appear to have regular injury issues. I'd like to think, should he recover from in...

Re: Next Season Expectation.

If that’s how I come across to you, fair enough. I’m not a club ambassador BTW. By the same token, I’m not all all like you. At all or all all? I'm glad you're not at all like me. Would be boring. I said like, not that you are. But then you don't read posts properly and misinterpret often. Still, t...

You can back that up with proof? What's happened to our cup run money?
For you, no.
Why? Hang on, I know why. But you post your stuff like you are a club ambassador and feel important. I almost feel sorry for you.

Re: Snake

Why did all the GoFundMe pages and communications by the club mention we were paying for the operation and rehab cost then? Rehab, maybe. Happy to be proven wrong, but someone very close to the player told me that Woking FC did not pay for the operation. Who told you? The barmaid? We paid towards s...

Fair enough. I honestly think if we can retain a decent spine, that Dowse can set us up as a competitive side, but we aren’t due to spend anywhere near what we were, even under Garry.

Re: Transfer Update

But you admitted to walking out at half-time in the semi-final against Wealdstone? He was impeccable that day and, arguably, equally as good in the final. The games that counted while he's been at Woking.... Yes. That’s why I said for most of his time. How close were we to Torquay when he joined? T...

Re: Transfer Update

Diarra has been poor earlier in the season but Torquay is not an example of that. He was solid the whole game and it was only because Ben got sent off that we didn’t win that game. As for the Wealdstone game, Diarra didn’t put a foot wrong. They scored two early goals from set pieces, neither of wh...

Re: Transfer Update

There is no guarantee Gerring will start and he may be effective against certain sides. I am far from a fan but against strikers who are slow he is effective. So may play in certain games only. Against quick strikers, keep him off the pitch.
