Re: Aldershot

Our current team is nowhere near as good as our team that won the Conf South, yet we have a similar number of points at the same stage. I think the speed of our recovery is somewhat down to the NLs being a poor league. That really was a cracking team. King, McNerney and Cowan-Hall all have had/stil...

Re: Torquay

If you've not got round to it yet, the Woking thread on the Torquay forum is highly entertaining and worth five minutes of your time. Apparently we were lucky to beat Welling. Apparently we're lucky that we played H&R and that they were bad? Its really quite funny to go through and read. In my opin...

Re: Paul Hodges

He seems an absolutely lovely guy as well. I think he could be useful still in the National if we end up getting promoted. I just feel like you don't get that many players like him at this level and defenders sometimes struggle to know how to deal with it.

Re: Paul Hodges

Hodgey has won us so many points this season. His little darting runs, particularly early in the season, that carved open defences and won us penalties when we were heading to draws/losses. I do think he’s better when coming on and the defence is tired but what a weapon to have coming off the bench.

Re: tonights game

I think we've only had 2 home league games with crowds over 4000 in the last 10 years or so (I may be wrong here). One of those being against Aldershot and one when we won Conference South.

Re: Wassmer... again

Seems to me that Gerring (and probably Loza) was the last piece of the puzzle. Fair play to Dowse, he see's our weaknesses and sorts them out ridiculously quickly. I know he had his heart set on Wassmer coming back but he admitted he was wrong to trust that it would happen and brought in someone tha...

Re: Proud

I agree, what was most noticeable for me was the overlaps. Every single Watford attack there was a winger, full back, and a midfielder supporting. Then two touches later there's an unmarked midfielder bursting through. Really impressive to see it up close and agree with KE, fans were very humble. T...

Re: Watford

Nice to see Foster there even though he wasn't even on the bench. I agree that I thought they were very professional throughout although Success was a disgrace. Diving against a team that are 5 leagues below you. What a mug.

Re: Mid season squad review

We only have Edser and Loza that are actually starting games at the moment. The majority of our best performers this season are signed on permanently. If, and its a big if, we do get promoted then we have a core group of players that can be taken up with us and then like every team in non-league the...

Re: Mid season squad review

Jake Hyde has been absolute class when not injured. You really can’t argue with his goals to games ratio and his hold up play is superb. Also think Ferdinand was a 7/10 at the start of the season and he has played more games than some you have rated on here. Really looking forward to him coming back...

Re: Aldershot

I find it amazing that they are still defending that defeat on shotsweb. If we lost 7-0 to a team 2 leagues below us with any team then I’d be embarrassed. Really does go to show how great our youth team is given how many former Woking youth players we have in our squad.
