The article states it to be a temporary reduction, and there is a chance they will fold at the end of the month . A 20% reduction seems a small price to pay if it keeps them afloat and the players with income .
Would you accept a 20% pay cut from an employer you joined a month or two ago?

Weymouth will mean a return to Kingfield for fans favourite Brett Williams.
He’s leaving Weymouth to take up a coaching role at Totton so unfortunately we won’t see him next season.

Re: Vile Hobby Club it is then, not The BELT

Three of the four play off semi finalists were in the bottom six in the attendance tables. So? Most people on here seem to think you should just decide league positions by attendance and not bother playing any matches. The same people who didn’t have a problem when our directors were topping up our...

Fulham took a 0-2 lead in the Champ playoffs. No Arter on the teamsheet. It is rumored that some players traveled by car and parked.

Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards

Because they're not the players they were earlier in their careers. It always amazes me how people cry out for resigning old players who were good for us years ago. Personally I think we need to resign Walker, Scotty and Hay, they were amazing for us, if we had them this season we'd rip the nationa...

Re: Woking FC Commercial Update

The club don’t advertise the leisure centre because it’s meant for people using the actual leisure centre (or the park) and not football fans. They don’t want more people than necessary knowing about it, which is the same reason they don’t advertise that there’s plenty of free street parking around ...

Please not Dartford.

Also - how many seasons have Brackley lost in the playoffs now? They might even be bigger bottlers than Chelmsford.

Re: Woking FC Commercial Update

I like to support the cards but I think putting up the car parking charge by over 50% is a bit much, especially when you are not always certain that the space allocated to you isn't already occupied when you arrive, or certain games you cannot park. I am sure if the season tickets go up by as much ...

FA Trophy needs chucking out or we just purposely get knocked out in the first round
We seem to get knocked out in the first round anyway these days.

It might be a good opportunity for them to permanently get rid of FA Trophy replays now.

Re: Craig Ross signs a new deal

Gerring improved for sure, he had to. Our defensive record was hardly impressive actually. Ross at least has an excuse for 10 goals in that horrid Christmas and New Year run for example. Many rate Gerring and Diarra so highly, so was our midfield that bad? We were missing Casey (Injured) and Ross (...

Not unlike Gerring, he looked better in the higher/tougher league. A real star last season. Excellent move to retain him. Gerring improved for sure, he had to. One of the biggest signings of the season, top three keepers in the league for me. Welcome back.
Who are the other two then?

I’ve not seen better last season.

Re: Play Offs

So that’s Boreham Wood and Barnet in to the semis.

Imagine if the 11th placed team went up. It’s a big enough joke extended playoffs to 7th as it is.

Might as well just do away with the league season and invite all 24 teams in to the playoffs.

Reggie Young signs for Hemel Hempstead Can’t help but think he’s set his career back a couple of years. Whilst he wasn’t as good, consistently, as people implied, there was clearly talent there. If he’d just accepted a couple of seasons of being an impact sub, I think he could now be either startin...

Well I've been watching local football since the great Guildford City days where the games were cut and thrust end to end get up and get on with it games with endless goalmouth action and a great watch. Re: Dave Tarpey signs a new deal

Thing is Dowse doesn't seem to like 5 at the back Eh? We started the season with five at the back and tore the league up for a month, even when we didn't actually play three centre backs. I absolutely remember a few games with 5'7 Josh Casey at LCB, with Tyreke as a wing back in front of him. I qui...

9/10 million hopefully hes got a yaer left ...anything much over 1 million would be a surprise. Bournemouth might want him in championship Yeah, no-one is paying £10m for a 30 year old with 1 year left on his unfortunately. Not to mention a 3 month stint in prison. Over rated? Maybe. Under rated by some. We should never had signed Josh Payne then? Trust no one clamours for his return. Anyway, as a footballer on the pitch, Effiong has proved himself at this level. That is not in doubt...no coincidence how poor we were ...

Why?
Why do we need him?

Over rated carthorse, who is let go by club after club, even when he actually does what his paid to do.

Got to ask yourself why, perhaps the Ross County incident is typical of his behaviour?

Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards

Still feel they should have walked off and abandoned the game. Would have had a much bigger impact. It has to be walk off despite the score line not walk off if you’re losing. Then you give dickheads the power to get games abandoned. Maybe suspend the game for 15 minutes which would annoy other fan...
