And what was with their keeper by the way? Granted we hardly tested him in the second half, but get some class man!
Come on - Casey celebrated in the Oxford players faces at full time yet we can't take an opposition keeper being a bit of a dick?

Re: Match Thread Slough Town Home VNLS

Getting to a point where we can have subs that would influence a game would be handy. For all our loan roulette action recently, our bench didn't give us many options yesterday. Bradbury is an angry man. I'm far from convinced he's actually that good. Loses more headers than he wins, doesn't hold t...

Re: Play Offs

Anything has to be better than Hyde flicking in on to their CB/GK because all our midfielders are standing around watching rather than running past him anticipating the header or pass.

Re: Woking 0 - 1 Slough Town | Interviews

“9 people injured” - really? Little (1 game), Ferdinand and Luer are the only ones I can think of. How can people still mention Loza and Edser, they left ages ago. That’s what happens when you rely on short term loans, players are unlikely to be with you all season. The new Salford signing (Glynn) k...

Re: How Much Would You Pay For a ST Next Season?

Aldershot might still stay up. Their last 3 games are all against teams in the bottom 6. Unlikely but not impossible. If we want the best chance of winning this league next season (if we don’t go up) would we rather Dover got relegated than Aldershot? And isn’t “pay what you can” basically what boos...

Re: Match Thread Slough Town Home VNLS

One positive from today... Dowse basically admitted he was wrong about dropping Cook. Something that most on here knew. A rare thing he’s got wrong this season.

That fact wheeler is considered sums that up
You’re one of the knackers that the manager has been talking about. Well done you.
Why? Do you actually think Wheeler is any good? Clearly Dowse doesn’t either by the fact he couldn’t even get in today and has barely played in the last 3 months.

5 home losses this season

Far too many for a side to win the league unfortunately.

Surely today was the worst of the lot? Never even looked like scoring against a team just playing for throw ins. We’re going to have to be much better than that in the playoffs to have a chance.

Very poor first half. Set pieces have been dreadful. We need to at least match Torquay’s result today.

I think Toby has been our best and most effective player this season. Just my opinion. But can we please get over it. FFS.
I’m going to take this as a PERSONAL ATTACK on Dowse and Woking FC. Why do you want him out so much? AGENDA.

Do you not think that the image of a footballer ripping their shirt off is a culturally significant one? It's one of the classic images of the game and something kids watched their heroes do growing up You mean classic as in established over the last ten years - I mean we all know football didn't r...

Re: Harvey Bradbury & Yellow Cards

There was no foul on the Welling keeper. He just collapsed and the Welling players got round the ref and made sure he got booked Moaner in chief was Gavin McCallum It was a foul though - he ran in to the keeper well after he had caught the ball. Armani tends to get frustrated and pick up pointless ...

My favourite stat from this season.. Nathan Collier (Coll-ee-a as the Welling announcer said) hasn’t been booked in 43 appearances this season.

Re: Sensible discussion about why..

Casey absolutely ripped Diarra a new one after one of the goals, presumably for not covering LB. Having just watched the highlights I assume you mean the second goal, where Casey gets binned then fails to stop the cross? Even the most one-eyed Woking fan would agree Diarra ball watched there but Ca...

Re: Hi....Slough Fan here

If you get there early enough you can park in the Leisure Centre opposite the ground (it's free as opposed to Heathside). Woking station is around 10-15min walk to the ground if you were to get the train.

I've seen pushchairs in the ground before so you'll be fine with that.

If Cook needs a rest why don’t Casey, Collier or Gerring need a rest considering they’ve all played about 30 consecutive games?

Re: Sensible discussion about why..

But when Gerring joined it was early on in the season. With 7 games left we don’t have the luxury to change a settled defence which had played 90% of our games so far and allow a new player a few poor games to ‘settle in’. I get the feeling that a big part of why Dowse signed Diarra is that he can c...

Re: Match Thread Welling A VNLS

I think the point Dowse mentioned about time wasting in his Friday catch up is quite relevant - he was annoyed when spent the 2nd half away to Torquay trying to slow everything down rather than trying to play our natural game. That was Welling’s undoing today imo - they actually played some decent s...

This team would have won this match.
Doubt it - we were overrun in midfield enough as it was, let alone without a defensive midfielder.

Good job we signed Diarra and dropped Cook wasn’t it.

Casey deciding he’s playing left wing for some reason letting them in for the last 2 goals.
