Re: WFC TV | Chorley 1 - 1 Woking | Match Highlights

Think Casey got booked for complaining about the free kick when their player just sat down.

Getting a bit annoying ref's falling for the 'sit down to try and get a free kick in the last minute' trick every match.

Although Casey can hardly complain about soft free kicks...

Re: Bromley away

Surely a dislocated shoulder would be at least a month out with the risk of falling on it again? Last season when Casey missed a game we played Spence at LB so we can’t do any worse than that. I think we’ll probably end up playing Collier there. It’s likely we’ll start with the team JAM posted above...

Not about slight niggles, all about a fucking poxy plastic pitch, urgghhh
Didn’t Dowse mention in his BBC Surrey interview after yesterday they both had niggles before the Chorley game?

Presumably this is going to be the game Poku gets his 5th yellow in only his 6th start.

At least if Hyde and Tarpey have slight niggles they might recover better for Saturday.

Lee Noble scores a penalty and celebrates in front of Woking fans and Hartlepool fans find it hilarious.

Effiong does the same thing to Hartlepool fans and they can’t take it.

Re: Match Thread A vs Chorley VNL

Blocking the throw - yes. But grabbing the guy by the neck - really? At least Parry and Diarra can get us through the next 3 matches. I still think we need an alternative to Hyde to have on the bench. Easier said that done though. It’s about time we scored again from a set piece as well - Diarra hea...

Good news!

Presumably another option out wide/up front in addition to Tarpey. Or Johnson if we play 4-4-2.

Re: 1/4 of the season gone already

Continue our current form from the first 11 games giving us 100 points? 65 points would be about right from here i think (accounting for injuries as mentioned above) meaning 41 points from the remaining 35 matches. Something like W11 D8 L16. We'll probably go on a 10 game run where we only win a cou...

Re: The Chorley coach mystery

40p a mile would be very generous for an expenses claim. In the public sector the standard allowance is around 24p. When I use my car for a "home" game, which us a round trip of about 530 miles the cost in petrol is between £90 and £100. Depends on how you drive I suppose! Not sure where you work i...

I hate that one.
That just reminds me of Gerrard after they beat Man City “Ehh we go to Norwich.. WE GO AGAIN.. this does not fohhkin slip now”.

So for that reason I love it.

I thought i was the only one that wondered when everyone started saying 'pressing' instead of 'closing down'! (I'm 30 so not even "old"...)

It's like when English players started saying "we're in a good moment" because they thought it sounded intelligent when foreign players said it.

The ref did his best to get them back in the game. Had enough chances to win 5 games.

I had the lid taken off my bottle of water by a steward before the Alderpop game. When I asked why, he told me it was because he didn't want me throwing the bottle at the flag waving shed draggers. I was bemused, but slightly flattered, I let him take it whilst explaining that I'd have to have an a...

Pre pour the beer. It works at every other sporting venue in the country. I’m off to the Oval today - they used to have massive queues before they started pre pouring. Now it’s all pre poured and contactless and takes less than 5 minutes each time to get a beer. Just need a couple of people pouring...

Re: This Saturday .....

Aren't the queues for a half time pint ridiculously long at every football ground?

I've been to quite a few Premier League games where it's impossible to get a beer at half time unless you leave on about 40mins. Maybe it's just difficult to serve 100's of people within a 5/10 minute period?

Wrexham fans are not happy. The Chesterfield game due that day was scheduled to be on BT Sports, therefore costing them money
Would only cost them £5k wouldnt it, which they probably would have lost from the gate money anyway.

Would be good to thrash them and rub it in his face that we won’t be relegated in October....
