Re: WFC TV | Ian Dyer | Pre-Season Preview

I remember most people being very impressed by Limbrick’s interviews, at least for the first six months. But then it was nice to have someone less embarrassing than Hill’s bizarre interviews (in every shape or form) So much revisionism on this forum about Limbrick. Everyone was wanking him off afte...

Cook got a brace in one game as well! Gerring's 4 were close together - Welling in October, Slough in November, Billericay in December and...?
Against Hungerford at the end of October.

I still think Cook should have taken the last minute penalty against Truro to get his hat trick!

Re: Jack Cook signs on for 2019/20

As much as I liked Diarra, his story and sacrifices to make it in the game - I'm not seeing a need for a fourth CH. The loan market is usually full of center half's who can do a job. I'd rather double down on a number 9 and or 10 we can call our own and not lose in the January window etc All our ce...

Jason Goodliffe has become Sutton's assistant manager. Don't much fancy their chances this season.
Goodliffe has a special arrangement where he’s only responsible for the wins and the manager is responsible for the losses.

It's really not though is it.
No matter how VAR is used some people will find fault with it.
Because it's shit and shouldn't be used at all.

I hadn’t realised last night’s game was in the Premier League. Now how many of the penalties below were taken without encroachment? https://youtu.be/TRMggdDjb4Y I didn't claim it was in the Premier League, I just used it as an example of what would happen if refs and players all did their job prope...

Re: Womens football.

Because if the rules were applied that strictly every single penalty in the Premier League would be re taken because a defender or attacker always has at least a toe in the box. Should we use VAR to make sure the wall for every free kick is exactly 10 yards back not 9.99? Where does it end? Really?...

Re: Womens football.

I agree that Law 14 hasn't changed, but it is being scrutinised more through the use of VAR, which is a joke. I did feel sorry for the Jock girls last night, as they thought the keeper had kept them in the WC, only to be denied by VAR. If this law had been implemented around the world like it shoul...

Re: Ben Gerring signs a new deal

Are we going to go another season with literally one left back in the squad? Thoroughly looking forward to when he gets a suspension in January and we start a back line of Diarra/Gerring/Parry/Cook against some shithouse lumpmerchants. Seeing as Casey only missed 1 league game last season (and I do...

Re: Ben Gerring signs a new deal

R&WA I would agree with that, although by the sounds of it Diarra will be signing as well. If that is the case, a RB, be it signed or on loan, would give us 7 defenders. It seems Cook or Collier will be either RB or squad players I'm still unconvinced that Cook at RB or Gerring at CB for any more t...

Weight never hurt McNulty or Parkin... and I'd take either or both of those fat bastards without hesitation. Get your best game head on Ben and show us what you can do at National level. I'm amazed Parkin had a decent career for so long given how much of a fat bastard he was, as well as apparently ...

checks height Of course he's 6'4. Another colossus into the mixer and nearly 100 games at NLP level looks great to me. Welcome video here - welcome Manny! Boreham Wood’s website has him down as 6 foot 2. Although TransferMarkt does have him as 6’4. I agree this means we’re unlikely to see Diarra ne...

Re: Ex-Cards News (May '19 onwards)

Macauley Bonne joins Charlton He was awful when he was with us. I'm amazed he has gone on to be so successful (so far). File under Ladapo and Kyle Vassell! He did look very poor when he played for us on loan, I thought he would end up knocking around the lower reaches of non-league. He also only ha...

What is the worst VNLP compliant ground currently? I am trying to visualise the minimum we need to jam into Westfield somehow.
Based on Concord needing 500 seats and not having them - Wealdstone? Maidenhead? Welling?
Surely Solihull is one of the worst.

Can you imagine if we had a Bristol Rovers or Torquay sized away following at Westfield? It’s probably up there with the worst suggestions on this forum alongside people saying Joey Jones was shit. I remember when the England Womens Team played Farnborough Reserves. And lost 6-0 Why couldn't it be a physical game against a ladies team ?, they keep telling us they are equal. Good signing / re-signing.

Experienced player who has never let the club down, and very under-rated player

If we had had a team of 11 Nathan Colliers 2 years ago we wouldn't have got relegated
46 0-0 draws wouldn't quite have kept us up.

I remember back in 2014/15 we played Aldershot away in September and home in December. 13/14 we played them on the August and April bank holidays.

Let's just hope we don't end up playing them at home on a Tuesday night as we lose a fair bit of revenue.

I do wonder what level a top women's team would be in the men's pyramid. Based on what I've seen this World Cup i think they would be well below the Conference South.

It's not June without this thread! It's bound to be Shots home and away over Xmas but I'd actually prefer to play them in August and then in April or May. fair play to collier for getting another year, but is he really good enough for the level above? he was a good squad player for us in conference south but this Is completely different I have my doubts too. But at least he can cover 3 positions so is a useful squad player to have around. I’d hope he...
