Re: Retained list

I was confused by Lewis for a fair bit, but I guess if we see him as a rotational option for the Berkoe role - an attacking left winger in possession, and a functional wing back without - it makes sense. He played that role at Boreham Wood the season before this, and they made the playoffs with us t...

Retained list

Following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, Manager Michael Doyle has confirmed his retained and released list. The following players will leave the club this summer upon the expiry of their contracts: Greg Taylor, Luke Wilkinson, Manny Oyeleke, Sam Habergham, Jim Kellermann, Alan Judge, Paul Os...

Re: Luke Garrard's final interview at BW

Would we want any of their squad? Preferably ones who can play more than about a dozen games without breaking down. Edit - Is Chris Bush there? A back three of him, Cuthbert and Timi would be immense. Ashmore and Ndlovu are the two standouts IMO, though there are a lot of good keepers about, and it...

Re: Keep or cull?

I presume that Oscar Rutherford is only being released because Berkoe nutmegged him twice. Almost 80 games for the club from the academy, at just 20 years old, and they're not even retaining him? He'll be a very sensible acquisition for someone. Always associate Boldewijn with this absolute banger ...

Re: Keep or cull?

Eastleigh with a massive cull! https://www.eastleighfc.com/official-2024-25-released-retained-list/ Anyone we’d want from their released list? Re: Promotion and relegation to the NL next season

Please can we get rid of one of Barnet or Bromley. Alty play great football and means another Manchester away day, I'd much rather keep them. Solihull is sterile, but Barnet and Bromley are just awful.

Re: Keep or cull?

Roco Rees, bloody hell, you obviously not seen him play then. There is a reason why he is not Worthing’s no 1 since February. He makes too many errors. Makes Will look extremely competent. Not loads, but a bit. I know he only lost 7 games he's played this season, but that Worthing conceded 4 goals ...

Re: Keep or cull?

I think we need to upgrade WJ this summer and because unlike Meerkat I can see, I know Ashmore is not small. I'd take him for a season with WJ as backup, I'd happily take Harrison Male from Dorking because he is decent with his feet which is likely to be a requirement. I wouldn't be surprised if MD...

Re: Last Season, Really good and really bad

Good: 1. Berkoe nutmegging the same right back twice in 90 seconds against Eastleigh. 2. My Dad giving Tyrese Sinclair double-barrel verbals for diving in the home fixture against Rochdale – only for Sinclair to score about a minute later, fold his arms, peer into the KRE and start laughing at him. ...

Re: Keep or cull?

If anyone's frustrated by the players they'd consider deadwood being contracted til the end of next season, take a look at York's retained list. Two points below us with a worse GD and yet they've got TWENTY THREE CONTRACTED PLAYERS for next season. I'd be terrified.

Re: Keep or cull?

When we beat Dover 4-1 away a couple of years ago, they had a complete clown in goal It was AAJ We beat them 3-2 at home and they scored their second super late - he turned to the KRE and started giving it large. Mate, your team has earned 4 points of the last 63 available? You're 24 points from sa...

Re: Keep or cull?

I remember some of our best ever Dowseball was when we first came back up, and went unbeaten for almost two months with Casey at LCB and Tyreke Johnson at LWB, switching between a back four and a back five when in/out of possession. We've seen Doyle do versions of that with Casey and Berkoe/DKE. Be...

Re: Next season

We should be trying to keep Edwards and all three loanees IMO. I've no idea how realistic any of them are. Hoping that Doyle can lean on his time at County to convince a couple of players. If we can't keep Edwards, John Bostock is the replacement for him, and out of contract at 32. Richard Brindley ...

Re: FA Cup Replays

I guess it's much more likely that a team will nick a draw and then get a sound hammering in the return leg than they would be to actually progress, though - it's slimming down the odds in favour of bigger, more moneyed sides even further. Especially if you're a smaller side. Earned a replay: Horsh...

Re: FA Cup Replays

As always, the desperate attempts to pacify the Premier League clubs ends up with the smaller clubs getting shat on. Forget L1/L2 for a minute. Imagine you're a Horsham, a Ramsgate (don't know why those two came into my head) and you draw Derby at home then nick a point. You want the replay right? ...

Re: Updated run ins

They'll finish top half of League Two, sadly. I wonder if any of their players with expiring deals would consider us. Ryan Boot would massively placate the Jääskeläinen doubters. Freckleton is as close to Odusina as I've seen anywhere. Not sure Banks, King or Palmer are realistic, but they've all be...

If that Eastleigh goal is the winner it drags Wealdstone back into it. If we draw and they lose on the final day, we'd go above them.
Wealdstone are safe
Don't one of Wealdstone/York go down if we draw, BW beat Ebbsfleet, and Wealdstone/York lose by three goals more than Ebbsfleet lose?

JoeMac has been relegated with Havant tonight. Ross Worner too.

A National South without Dartford, Dover, and Havant would feel a lot more hygeinic.
