Re: Harvey Bradbury & Yellow Cards

maybe he just got caught up in the euphoria and excitement of the moment and didn't think, which lets be honest isn't a surprise for a footballer. There was a discussion on Sky Sports yesterday about whether this rule should be stopped, all around when Maddison took his shirt off when scoring for Le...

Re: WFCTV | Welling 3-3 Woking | Match Highlights

what a great goal by Allassani, out of nowhere really

Thought we played some good stuff in the 1st half, around the time when we scored and then had 1 cleared off the line.

Re: Harvey Bradbury & Yellow Cards

It wasn't a foul, his momentum took him into the keeper, who seemed to jump into Harvey. And KE, whilst McCallum was on the scene moaning, the chief moaner was our friend Braham-Barrett. As for the booking on Tuesday, if you want to moan about a young player getting booked for taking his shirt off a...

Re: Sensible discussion about why..

Quick question. if Jack needs a rest, which seems to be the only reason to drop him, why didn't Dowse just use Gayle, a player who the rest of the squad know and seemed to be comfortable in that position earlier in the season.

Re: Sensible discussion about why..

I would agree that the goals we conceded yesterday were not completely down to Diarra but it seems to me that the back four has been disrupted unnecessarily. Getting & Cook seemed to have a good partnership and the whole back 5 (Ross included) were comfortably as a team. It comes across that Casey, ...

Re: North Ferriby RIP

Bye. Thanks for coming. when will people learn that running a FC is like running a business, if you don't pay the bills the authorities will eventually catch up with you. so many cases in recent years of clubs spending beyond their means to chase the dream (whatever that is). 'Football league in xx ...

Re: WFCTV | Oxford City 1-2 Woking | Match Highlights

You just have to love Casey The penalty was a bit soft, and I suppose its one of those modern day pens where it looks like the striker has made the contact with Ross rather than the other way round. Great effort from the lads to win the game from there, and the scenes when the winning goal went in m...

Re: Team for Saturday

again, on the assumption that Hyde is fit and Diarra isn't, I think CC has it spot on with his XI and subs, although I personally would put Luer in behind Hyde and not wide I also like what Durojaiye gives us, inc the end of the game on Tuesday night. Nice to have a little bit of fight in the middle...

Re: Chaotic scenes

I am also not convinced that we will win the league, and I am going to be even more pessimistic than KE and say we wont go up through the POs either, but it is the hope that gets you. What that last minute goal on Tuesday has done is kept the hope there Having looked at the fixtures, I personally do...

As has been said a number of times before, isn't that the reason we would rather have Casey on our side than against us.

Re: Torquay lemons

What a melt that Torquay fan comes across as. The board may well have gone up as 4, but as has been said above its a minimum. When the other side time waste in the added on time, there is always going to be more added on. Apparently the ref was the same as the one they had when they recently lost to...

Re: Chaotic scenes

Totally agree ME 'that's why we bother". The atmosphere created in the 2nd half was the best in ages. Hopefully that came across on the radio & the videos for those not there. We were the 12th man last night & need to keep that going for the rest of the season. Not sure how we won that, but it's a b...

Re: Additional striker required

I think what has been mentioned on this thread isn't generally that HB isn't good enough, just that he isn't getting the right service. In my previous post this morning, I was thinking of mentioning that if we weren't going to get another striker, then we need TE back, but didn't think that was the ...

From memory when we went there in the FAT a few years ago, they only had cover at the far end. Does anyone know if that is still the case

Re: Additional striker required

I agree. What we need is a goal poacher, someone of the Marriott/fitter Tarpey type, someone who could get us 6 or 7 goals in the run in. I realise that these type of strikers aren't easy to come by, and it would be a risk putting faith in a youngster (like Marriott was when he was here), but if Dow...

Re: Team for Tuesday

You may just have the 1st XI there, depending on the injury to Armani I would imagine that either Gayle or Hyde will be on the bench instead of Wheeler (isn't RMW out on loan) in case we need another striker/in need of a goal (Diarra /Gerring could be pushed up top), or if we need to preserve a slen...

Today

I don't think it's too much of an exaggeration to say that today is massive.

Hopefully Agents Wassmer & Loza (if fit) along with the returning Robinson can do the business for Billericay & we can win to put us 3 points clear at the top of the table.
