Re: Match Thread A vs Chorley VNL

Ignoring the injuries and suspensions resulting from the game, another good result. Although Chorley are also part-time, they probably have a bigger budget and as a part-time club ourselves an away point will always be a good point. Any moaning and groaning about not dominating Chorley is unrealist...

Should we try and get him?
I'm very happy with what we've got to be honest, I think we just need to bring someone in on loan as cover.

Jake Robinson isn't an upgrade on Hyde or Tarpey that is for sure.
Very true.

Re: Triallists

I am aware of the reasons behind it, I was just asking this forum if anyone had heard or know who they might be. Obviously unlike you I wasn't aware there is an NDA which stops us from talking about it for fear of going to prison, so I am glad you have put us straight on that, thanks keep up the go...

Re: Triallists

Not really, but I guess it made you feel better on the way to school. Bless. It's a couple of years since I last attended school. A clear request came out during the PSFs that trialists were not to be named in reports, etc. This does not, and should not, preclude people from speculating as to their...

Re: Triallists

Any idea who they are? They are footballers - some professional, some semi-professional - for whom, as discussed on here previously, there is a wish from themselves, their agents and/or the management of the club they are trialling for that their names aren't revealed. Hope that helps. Not really, ...

Never encountered any racism in 30 years? Once sat behind some older gents saying that the problem was “too many darkies in the team”. The ‘darkies’ included Darran Hay and Dereck Brown..... Things have definitely changed for the better on that front though. Relatively recently there have been inst...

Personally really looking forward to seeing Garry Hill back at Kingfield. Assuming he will be receiving the warmest of welcomes? Plus on paper, it should be 3 points for the cards. Hope so, he should do a walk around the pitch before kick off so everyone can show their appreciation, in a world of s...

Re: Harry Arter

What interview? The only one saying he was a nightmare was from Warnock who then said he was fantastic in the changing room, so that doesn't suggest he's on his way out at all. And why would Warnock’s view have anything to do with what Scott Parker would do with him? That's the point I was making.

What on earth would they want with Bury FC.

Clearly better for them to start again, free from those without their best interests at heart

According to their forum we are a 'ludicrously expensive, money grabbing club with a dull town, with probably the most obnoxious, one-eyed, hostile home supporters of any of the traditional non league sides'
In fairness, it is a dull town!
